I had a 15+ year old wire stripper and crimper that has dulled over the years. This new wire stripper is much shorter, so it is easier to hold it in one hand while the wire is in my other hand. While it is easy to hold I found the plastic on the handle is hard and unforgiving, so if you are applying significant pressure it is not comfortable.Good: The wire cutter near the pivot cut my sample wires with no issues and the stripper worked well on both solid and stranded wires and much better than my original tool. The lock is a nice touch so that it is held closed in the toolbox which my old tool did not have.Bad: The crimper is basically useless. I tried using it on several terminal splices, but the short handle just does not allow you to get enough force on the splice to get it closed. I will be keeping my old tool around for when I need to crimp.

These are good wire cutter/strippers. The blade is sharp and has no problem cutting through solid or stranded wire. The stripper side works like expected. You have the main cutter that slices through thick wires and the stripper at the tip for large wire. Down below you have strippers for smaller wire from 16 to 8 gauge. The handle feels good and this tool has a lock that keeps the sharp end closed. The price is very reasonable and the tool does the job.

This wire stripper is great. It works smoothly and strips wires without a hassle. It is pretty easy to strip the wires and the handle grip is also really easy to hold. The build is also really good too. The price is solid. Overall, great tool to have and would recommend.

I've used them to redo some of the wiring on our house and they cut through household electrical just fine. The cutting blade seems to be of decent quality. The stripper is a bit finicky on stranded wire, but works well on solid wire. I found that I had to go a size smaller to strip stranded wire. Overall the blade lock is both useful and kind of frustrating because it keeps them locked and out of your way until you need them, but when you need them it is a little finicky to open up one handed. They do well, seem to be decent quality for the price and I would definitely get them again if I needed to.

This is a tool that I use every day at work, so I need something that's going to be functional. I found these wire strippers to function very well right out of the package. I had no problem stripping stranded wires. One benefit that this particular model has over the competition is that it goes down over 28 gauge wire, which most of the other ones do not. You don't strip 28 gauge wire very often, but when you do, it's nice to have a tool that does it. This is a good value for the money. My only complaint is that the handles are a bit shorter than I'm used to. Basically this is a very capable tool and would be beneficial for every homeowner to have.
