Perfect, Sturdy, Affordable Solution for my Dock
I wanted to build some steps into the shallow water from my fixed height dock. I found this ladder and thought I'd give it a try. It's perfect! Very sturdy, and I like the 5 1/2" step width. The fact that it is so easily removed and installed means that I can keep it dry on shore (preventing it from getting slimey or stolen) when I'm not using it. This ladder exceeded my expectations for appearance, strength, quality of included hardware (all stainless) and ease of use. Delivery was way ahead of schedule, and seller followed up with an email asking about my satisfaction. I'd recommend it.

- It was easy to build - It is sturdy - The steps ...
As others have said, this is exactly what was advertised, and just what we needed.- It was easy to build- It is sturdy- The steps are wideThe instructions were impenetrable, but it took a minute to realize what was needed. It may not be clear how easy it is to slide this out of the water. While it holds solidly in place while in use, if you angle it up from the water, it slides right out and rests on the deck. it is equally easy to put back in. Very light weight so even a kid can do it.

does the job
it went together without problem, the holes all lined up. It attached to the dock, no problems. It does what it is supposed to. There are certainly heavier duty ladders out there that over the years might hold up better but for the time being this was adequate. Ask me in a couple of years.

Water level at my dock is pretty shallow, hence the 3 step ladder
My 3 step ladder arrived today. It took me less than 30 minutes to assemble it and then attach it to the dock. Water level at my dock is pretty shallow, hence the 3 step ladder. My wife has bad knees. We have a wavewalker 700 kayak which we absolutely love. The ladder makes it much easier to get in and out of the kayak. Ladder feels very secure and stable. I did not want to crawl under my dock, so I used deck screws to fasten the cleats to the deck. Because I used deck screws instead of bolts all the way through the deck, I also used plumbers tape (metal strip with holes in it) to reinforce the fastening brackets and to make it slightly harder to steal the ladder. Although the ladder is very light, it seems pretty well made to me. I weight 240 pounds, and there is zero flexing or give as the ladder takes, and supports, my weight. Another reviewer was unhappy because the ladder pulled his deck boards up. Without seeing his deck, but based on my experience, the problem is deck, not ladder. If I could rate this product 8 stars I would. Time will determine how well the welds hold up. However, they look pretty solid on this first day of use.
