Awesome skates!!!!!!
These skates are sweet, fit perfectly according to the bont sizing guide. The skates look and feel amazing. They ride really smooth and look absolutely stunning. I really wanted a pair of skates that were not normally seen at the skating rink in my area everyone wanted the same skates but these are definitely going to stand out. If your looking for a nice skate for a good price this is the one.

Great Beginner Skates - CHECK THE SIZING CHART
I could see these skates great for new skaters wanting to purchase their first/second pair of skates. I would recommend upgrading the wheels, toe stops, and cushions if you are using these skates for derby. The stock cushions that these skates come with are REALLY REALLY hard. These skates are easily heat molded with a hair dryer (took like 10 minutes). I upgraded to these after wearing out my Riedell R3’s.SIZE: I’m a size 7.5 women for tennis shoes, size 6 in my Riedell R3, and a size 5 in these Bont Hybrid Prodigy. Hope that helps and happy skating! ❤️

Disappointed but Happy
Disappointed the skates didn’t come with the blue wheels in the pic of what I ordered but happy that fit and roll great!

Can't skate straight
The right skate veered sharply into my left foot and almost knocked me over and my heel kept slipping out of the boot. It was a very rigid boot. Given that it was faulty, I had to return them but Amazon would not pay for the return fee even though the item is defective and dangerous. They also deducted 20% re-stocking fee even though they were returned on time and in good condition. I got in touch with customer care, the representatives kept getting swapped out. I spoke with 10+ representatives in the end! Finally, when I thought I was making progress with 1 who offered to refund, they swapped them out and this new representative had the nerve to say the last one was confused and there is no refund! Not sure when Amazon got this bad but I won't be shopping with them again.

TLDR; Regret the purchase, disappointing
(Beginning context: I’ve been playing roller derby for a little over a year now and would say I’m a beginner going into intermediate skater)I was looking to upgrade from my Reidell R3s (that were hand-me-downs from three previous skaters) and after some research, I thought these would be great upgrade. Not too different, but new, and I can take them and transform them to be something I enjoyed skating in. Boy was I wrong. I tried them on right out of the box on carpet and the boots fit fine. Of course, the material is a little stiff but you gotta break them in and all that. I went to my garage and did a couple of bubbles in there to make sure they, ya know, could roll (and they did! Woo!) The next day (today), I go to the park to do some crossovers and regular skating stuff I can do and see how much I needed to adjust the trucks. That’s when everything hit the fan. My left skate felt normal-ish?, trucks didn’t feel too ”stiff” and my inner and outer edges were okay, but my right foot? Totally different story. No matter how much I shifted to be on my inner or outer edge on my right foot, my skate would not go anywhere! After feeling extremely unstable and falling on myself repeatedly, I went back to the bench and started looking at the trucks and cushions and this is where issue #1 came. The front pivot cup for the right skate was missing!! And then I went to go adjust the trucks just to “try and make the most of it” and the bolt holding the back truck of the left skate was stripped so I couldn’t even try and get them to feel more comfortable. And after I adjusted the trucks on my right skate, I still was not able to find my edges. And finally, after numerous attempts to feel normal while skating, I just slapped my R3s back on, did a lap or two, and then went home.Hoping that I can bring these to one of our vet skaters to see what I can do to try and improve these because I’ve skated in them during this process so much I don’t even think I can return them at this point.Update on this: Didn't bother to bring these to a vet skater and just ended up returning them. Don't let this be a reflection on Bont as a company btw. I probably had bad luck since I bought these through Amazon instead of their actual online store. Just take the time to order through them directly if you can.

Skater from the 80's coming from old school Carrera skates into Bont Hybrids
I was an avid skater in my teens, absolutely wearing out my Carrera skates. As an adult I rediscovered skating and these Bont hybrids are a step above the old school Carrera skates in every way. If you're looking for a similar skate to the old school quads, this is the one. They are more forgiving for a wider foot as well which is great! Be sure to follow the sizing per the Bont sizing chart. I'm a Bont 7 and they fit perfectly.
