Magid Safety Nitrile Coated Cut Resistant General Purpose Work Gloves - Size 5 (12 Pairs)

While I got these gloves mostly for work my husband has been doing on the house, I used them today to do some weeding and transplanting. I always wear waterproof gloves when I do because there is a dangerous parasite which travels in snails, so anytime I am in contact with moist dirt I want appropriate protection. Because the nitrile is good and thick I was able to do some weeding too, pulling up a thorny vine which I would not have tried with my disposable gloves. The reason that I rated them 4 stars is that the nitrile covers the palm area while the other side is knit, so it does not provide full protection. Depending on your intended use, these could be a 5 star product. I do have work glove which are fabric or leather with extra protection on the palms and fingers. I have not seen it before in gloves where the material is waterproof or meant to provide protection from chemicals. They would not be very good in that respect because the protection is only on one side. The nitrile is thick enough to provide protection from abrasives and thorns as well as dirt, etc which you want to avoid, as long as you do not have to worry about a splash. It was also flexible and allowed for good dexterity, though not as sensitive as my disposables. They are much better than average for dirty jobs as long as you don't have to worry about the back of your hands.I did not find the polyester knit especially comfortable, but it is not awful either. It is not as comfortable as fabric or leather, but is good for situations where those materials might get ruined.

These are great- I wear gloves all of the time now because of COVID-19, and I wear these when gardening or going to pick up topsoil or mulch because they are sturdy and washable. I drop them outside my door, put a fresh pair on after the store, and wash the used ones, no dryer. I have bought a lot of semi-disposable gloves- i.e. with last a season or two, and like these best. Would buy them again.

Nice gloves, and excellent grip initially, but in very short order the coating became almost glossy and slippery, primarily with boxes. Unless you need sticky surface to grab with, these would be good gloves to buy.
