I first discovered baru nuts while visiting Fortaleza, Brazil, and ever since then I've been hooked. When I found this value pack, I had to give it a try. These nuts have what I can only describe as the perfect crunch. They're not overly salty, not sweet, and not heavily flavored. Just lightly roasted with a clean, nutty taste that somehow keeps you reaching back into the bag for "just one more." I've gone through several bags now, and the quality has been remarkably consistent. Every handful tastes fresh, perfectly roasted, and free from any off flavors. The texture is what really sets them apart. They're crunchy without being hard, and somehow more satisfying than most snack foods. Fair warning: you may need to hide these from yourself. I ended up putting the bag in a drawer and giving myself a stern lecture about portion control. "Remember, they're good for you," I keep telling myself while mysteriously finding my hand back in the bag five minutes later. It's rare to find a snack that feels healthy and tastes this good. I can't promise they won't be fattening if you decide to eat the entire bag in one sitting, but if that happens, don't say I didn't warn you. These are dangerously delicious. Five stars!

Definitely something different, tasting like a cross between a peanut and an almond. Crunchy. Most of the nuts are still covered by the peel. Don't bother peeling them. They crunch up with the rest of the nut. Try these nuts for a unique and tasty snack. I will buy them again.

When I opened the box, it tasted off like old nuts and had a bad flavor. I didn’t realize I couldn’t return it because I didn’t read the description. I paid $30 for something that doesn’t taste right.

Best bang for your dollar. These are roasted without salt and taste so good. They taste like a fancy peanut with a nice crunch and nutty flavor. I also like the black husk on the shell I think it’s kind of fun to remove and eat separately.

These are delicious! I will continue to buy and enjoy these.
