THE FACTS ON THIS FANTASTIC SURFACE STONE PAINT...
I use this stone paint on wooden surfaces mostly, but it will stick to literally anything. It will strengthen thin materials significantly; like terra cotta, or delicate wood. This product sets up quickly and becomes the perfect surface for paint. Make sure the surface is clean, then use several light coats, then, when dry, use your color at will! It looks great as is, but if you want to decorate no primer needed. The finish is awesome! I've bought several different stone paints, all colors and finishes, but this is my favorite. I highly recommend this surface cover for transforming ANYTHING into an interesting piece.

Looks like real stone
We bought this on Amazon after looking for it in all the stores in our area and no one had it. We also picked up a can go grey stone as well. We applied 2 coats of stone coat base and then applied this over it spraying very lightly and than added a little bit of grey. Finished up by adding a very small amount of very fine glitter and then 2 coats of counter top epoxy. Turned out fantastic for under 100$ Very happy with this purchase

Doesn't Cover As Much Area As I Expected
The product itself is fine, and is exactly what I was looking for. The only issue for me is that it's pretty expensive and doesn't go as far as I had hoped. I applied it over a 21 sq. ft. countertop with an epoxy top coat. I used the entire can for that much surface area. I guess I was expecting the same coverage as I would get with say a can of spray paint--I estimate that the subject product's coverage was about 2/3 of what I'd get out of a can of spray paint. But as far as performance goes it looks fantastic--I (well, that's what the Stone Coat Countertops video said to do anyway) recommend that you hold the can about 24 inches or so from the surface and then spritz it over the surface--dont' hold the nozzle down. Doing it that way ensures no "lines" of paint. The missing star is simply because I don't think it goes as far as I expected.

Cool stuff - messy, but easy to work with
This stuff is great for putting a vinyl speckle coating on just about anything. It leaves a very rough, irregular surface with mostly black and dark grey layers, accented with a few white specks. It's fast drying, as well !! Love it. I decorated an old metal storage box that is getting repurposed. Now it doesn't look as distressed as it did before and you can barely see the dents and scratches.

Something Not Right
I read the reviews on this product and noticed some warnings about being careful to not get this stuff wet after applying it. My intended use was on a 4 ft tall outdoor fountain, so I was a little concerned. I was very VERY careful using this product. I pressure washed and sanded the surface to be coated. After receiving the shipment of 3 paint cans, I set the cans upside down overnight. The following day I shook each of the three spray cans for 5 minutes to try and make sure the paint was properly mixed. I painted the fountain indoors the same day and let it dry overnight. It look beautiful. The following day the fountain was dry to the touch and I took the fountain outside to "bake" in the sun for about 10 hours. I brought the fountain back in that night and took it back outside the next day to bake again for another 10 hours. It was completely dry to the touch. When I put water in the fountain, a large portion of the paint turned soft (like fresh wet paint) and would rub right off. When I rubbed some of the paint off with my fingers, the paint dried on my fingers and was difficult to scrub off. The really odd thing is that some of the paint exposed to water remained hard and did not come off when rubbed. I still can't figure out what's going on with this stuff, but I don't recommend its use anywhere it may come in contact with water.
