Unusable - low hum in the sound recording when using this.
I bought this for my Sony ZV1-Mk2 because I was tired of its short battery life. I use my camera to record voice. Unfortunately, when using this AC battery adapter, it produces a constant low hum in the background, like an old fridge, which makes any sound in the recording unusable. I tested my camera with just normal batteries and there was no hum. So it is definitely to do with the battery adapter.

Works Well with a Sony ZV-1 II
The media could not be loaded. This AC adaptor arrived in a sturdy, branded cardboard box.The box contains:• UK 3 pin plug to IEC C7 (figure of 8) plug (55cm).• 240V to 4.2V transformer with cable to barrel plug (150cm).• NP-BX1 dummy battery with barrel plug socket (35cm).• Instructions.I got this for a Sony ZV-1 II. It does have a USB-C port but this will only power the camera when a battery is inserted. The dummy battery of this device fits perfectly and supplies the correct voltage to the camera. The shape of the dummy battery and its contacts are identical to the original NP-BX1 battery (see picture).I can’t close the door of the battery compartment when using this but this is Sony’s fault for not leaving a cable aperture in the cover. It’s not really an issue as the camera is mounted on a tripod when I’m using this. This is a good device that allows me to use my Sony ZV-1 II for extended periods without worrying about battery power running out. At £16.99 it’s reasonably priced and works as described so I’m giving it 5 stars.
