I love the taste of this it makes a great snack instead of sweets plus it is very healthy. I definitely recommend this to anyone not wanting a sweetie snack. Try it you will definitely like it. I have them coming monthly. They last a long time also because they are vacuum sealed for freshness.

These are so good I've already gone through two boxes. It's great to have when on the go. One bar is pretty filling. They taste pretty good. They are a little spicy for me but the flavor is so good I keep eating them. They are way cheaper than buying locally for me so I've been getting them online.

== New 4-star review ==I originally ordered 2 boxes of these: Chicken and Venison, which were for trail snacks, however after trying them at home I never really thought they would be good on trail .... they were dry.However, I was wrong.... I just had to find the right use-case, which I now discovered is a portable protein source to add to meals. So now I cut them up in slices (with a small pocketknife) and add them to ramen or beans & rice Etc. They are spicy and delicious in meals and this resolves the original issue of them being too dry.I figured, if I am going to reorder and I felt I should bump the review to four stars.== Original 3-star review below ==I wanted to like these for a nutritious trail snack, however I couldn't really deal with the whole experience of eating this... mainly because it's quite dry . . . so wasn't appealing on taste for me. I tried two separate flavors and no go.

I grew up with hunting and eating venison so finding this was great. It is very tasty and substantial. The best part for me is it's only 390mg of salt for the whole bar so those of us that are a bit older don't have to go into shock looking at the back of the package. I love jerky but, some individual servings can start at 600mg+ of salt. Personally, I cut it in thirds and eat it like that. It's very filling for me but, I imagine most can power this down in one go. Overall very delicious and a great snack.

These are perfect when you need some protein. Slightly salty, but I have cut out most salt from my diet. Decent price though you can find it for about the same as singles at the store with the red archery bullseye.
