JBL Pulse 3 - Wireless Bluetooth Waterproof Speaker - Black

But this seller requires a signature without telling you and without giving you any other options except to be there in person to sign for it and they used FedEx who do not even understand their own door stub tag will not deliver unless YOU are there in person to sign their " direct " signature requirement. The attitude of the FedEx driver. 🙄 According to FedEx @#$% it has to be YOU. No one else. 🙄I followed their directions but that wasn't good enough and meant nothing. Waste of time. Meaningless protocol and procedure. Luckily I wasn't using the restroom or cooking or on the phone or doing anything to where I would miss the idiotic delivery person again.You're going to have to miss work or make arrangements keep an eye out in a time frame that's even worse than a cable company all so you can get your package from this seller. We're not talking about an overly high priced item here. MAJOR INCONVENIENCE. Buy from a different seller.My original update was blocked. 🙄 So I cleaned it up a bit but I am rather irrate at FedEx and this seller. 😡 Amazon though has been great as usual. Check who the seller is and make sure its fulfilled by Amazon. I had zero problems with sellers ListenUp and Hawthorne. After I calm down I plan on ordering a few more of these. BUT NOT FROM ELECTRONIC EXPRESS. 😡 See my review below.The 1st thing that grabs your attention is the light show. It is sweet. There are several different patterns and you can also customize through the app.The sound quality is good. The highs are crisp the mids are clear and the bass is full. Depending on what you're listening to it will boom a little. It's got a full bass sound to it but don't expect it to boom like a big subwoofer. I would say it's on par with a Charge 3 as far as bass but the highs and mids offer more clarity on the Pulse 3. Probably due to the 360 sound capability.Build quality is JBL quality. Button press is good flaps nice and tight it's all good. Battery life is good and can be better when you turn off the light show. Connects fast and easy with bluetooth with a slight delay when using connect plus.The main reason to get this speaker is the light show. It is fantastic. The bass could be better but overall sound quality is good. Phone calls are nice and clear no cuts or drops. I got 2 of them. 😁👍 One thing that I found out with the ones I purchased was that the brightness was different. 😐 In campfire mode one of the speakers is brighter with a red top. It's hard to capture in photos the real colors but you can tell in the pics that one is clearly more red on the top than the other. In all other modes the brightness seems the same although it's hard to tell. And that one speaker also takes just a sec longer to connect plus. 😕Into the app I went and one speaker's brightness was all the way up and the other was down a little. So I cranked it up and it made no difference. 😡 This is disappointing. The app was also buggy and required several installs. So in campfire mode I have one speaker that's brighter with a red top and the other dimmer. 😕 I just don't feel like exchanging it. Love the speakers but this urks me and I hope it's not a problem in the future. They should be more consistent. But I'm still happy with the purchase. 😎

UPDATED REVIEW 10/4/2021After my first review - I was able to get into contact with JBL support regarding the issues with the sound. JBL supplied a return shipping label and I was able to ship the defective speaker to them and they shipped me a new or refurbished speaker in return. I say OR refurbished speaker because the speaker they shipped back to me did not come in the same packaging the original one did. I can't remember exactly how long it took to receive the new speaker, but I want to say it was less than 3 weeks from the day I shipped the defective speaker out. It has been around 6/7 or so months now and I have not experienced any issues whatsoever with this speaker. I live in WI and spent a lot of my summer out in my vegetable garden or in our little pool with my son and his friends and we used the speaker almost daily. It has been splashed with pool water, dropped on the hard concrete of our garage (on accident), and sat directly in the sunlight some days while blasting our favorite tunes. I can honestly say I have zero complaints about this speaker other than I wish we had a couple more! Thanks JBL!I purchased the JBL brand because it's always been a reliable brand with great sound for the price. Here are the pros. Heavy duty speaker with brilliant colors that you can change using the app. It is also waterproof and allows the option for surround sound and to connect to multiple JBL speakers. Where I am disappointed- I'm not sure if I received a defective speaker or if the speaker is blown/damaged, but the sound quality on this is terrible. If I use the speakers in a small space and keep the volume relatively low, the sound is clear, but if I want to use the speaker in a larger area with the volume up high to hear throughout my home, is where the issues begin. The sound almost sounds like a skipping CD if I turn it up, making it absolutely annoying to listen to. I contacted JBL support to report the issue and explained that this is an ongoing issue since receiving the speaker. I know for a fact it is not a bad wireless/Bluetooth connection as I tried with both a wired and wireless connection using multiple phones. JBL support had me reset the speaker by holding down the volume + button and the play button and try again and the issue still persisted. I also went into the JBL app and updated the software to be sure that wasn't an issue as well and it is not. I bought this speaker based on the positive reviews and the fact it is waterproof and changes colors making it a fun item. I'm hoping the speaker is defective but I won't know until I work out a resolution with JBL support. I am giving a 1 star because the main factor in purchasing a speaker is the sound quality and this did not meet the expectations. I cannot leave a star rating on the "waterproof" portion as I've not attempted getting it wet for fear of breaking it more.

A better portable speaker with lights does not exist & cheaper options don’t compare. The JBL Pulse has the best light show, the best sound quality, & will not deteriorate with use.If you’re trying to pick between the 3, 4, & 5, definitely get the 3! I lost my Pulse 4 and am so happy I got the 3 because I was missing out. The 360 speaker featured on the 3 sounds sooo much better than the top facing speaker on the 4 (and 5 I imagine). I think the 4 and 5 are supposed to sound better, but the top facing speakers don’t provide bilateral stimulation like the 3. The lights on the 3 seem dreamier as well, but I might be biased. Just trust me…you need the JBL Pulse 3!!!

Fue un regalo para mi papá, quién es amante d a tecnología. Tiene un sonido excelente, el emparejarlo con el Bluetooth es sumamente fácil, además de que los colores y las figuras que se forman conforme cada canción te mantienen embelesado por un buen rato. Lo único malo quizás sería que para hacer el modo fiesta necesitas otro…y pues no todo mundo tiene una, lo bueno es que si te animas a comprar otra, puedes hacer sonido stereo.
