The Punisher 2: End of the Line Paperback – August 1, 2017

Becky Cloonan knows how to write Punished. Fun Punished. Furnished. Ennis would be proud. The art suffered a bit in the non-Dillon issues, but overall, the collection was pretty great.

The main issue I have with the series is that it has too many edits…. Such as it wants to use so much harsh language but it won’t actually print it…. If you have to use #%>|¥<^{ for every offensive word you want to put in the story then don’t put so many.I find no offense in a F Bomb and so on… but I remember a line in a movie I watched a long time ago… using language like that so often takes away the effect of it it was just used sparingly.Again it’s good it’s just censored to much. It should have been edited or printed in all its glory.

This volume is another must read story by some very talented people. The storytelling is amazing along with the art.

Really good follow up to Volume 1: On the Road. Great conclusion to the story. I'm really glad I picked this up, as I'm always a fan of Punisher comics that are done right.I believe this was Steve Dillon's final book that he did the artwork for before he passed away...his art is very fitting for Punisher books and he does a great job here as usual. His art is amazing and always on point.Becky Cloonan is awesome as a Punisher writer. I rank her right up there with Garth Ennis and Jason Aaron who are other ones who have really done Punisher well. She gets the character. She doesn't skimp on the violence. Sometimes over the top but also really great to read.

Der Punisher macht da weiter wo er im letzten Band aufgehört hat.Das Drogenkartell ist noch nicht komplett zersprengt deshalb verfolgt Frank die Bosse bis tief in den Norden um eine grosse Lieferung Drogen abzufangen und zu zerstören.Dort beginnt ein blutig brutaler Kampf: Einer gegen Alle!Inhaltlich mach es wenig Sinn dieses Buch alleine zu lesen. Band 1 und 2 gehören eindeutig zusammen in EIN Buch weil sie den selben Handlungsstrang haben und es wäre besser für den Leser gewesen beide Bände in ein Buch zusammenzulegen.Die Story hat mir aber diesmal etwas besser gefallen, es gibt ein paar schöne emotionale Momente. Davon hätte ich gern mehr gesehen.Leider wirkt es etwas auf mich so als würde Becky Cloonan versuchen Ennis zu imitieren statt ihr eigenes Ding durchzuziehen.So ein ähnliches Problem gibt es auch mit dem Artwork.Nachdem Original-Zeichner und Punisher Legende Steve Dillon mitten im Projekt verstorben ist hat Matt Horak übernommen und das Buch fertig gezeichnet, und so wirken einige Zeichnungen als hätte jemand versucht Dillon zu imitieren.Bitte nicht falsch verstehen, das Artwork ist bestimmt nicht schlecht aber ein komplett anderer Stil wäre vielleicht die bessere Alternative gewesen.Wenigstens stimmt diesmal der Gore Anteil, es sind ein paar schöne Panles dabei. Störend ist aber wieder mal die Zensur der Schimpfwörter, ich glaube daran werde ich mich niemals gewöhnen.Zusammengefasst kein wirklich schlechtes Buch wenn man den ersten Band auch gelesen hat, aber auch kein Magnum Opus das man unbedingt gelesen haben muss.Von Band 3 lass ich jetzt erstmal die Finger und warte auf das neue Punisher Buch von Ennis und Parlov Namens "The Platoon" das nächstes Jahr erscheinen soll.

Decent story but too much about Agent Ortiz and not enough Punisher. There's still a LOT of Punisher in here, obviously, but I don't care about Ortiz and don't want to read about her story.

I'm a huge fan of the Punisher and I buy all the comics. Vol 1 was great so I was excited for this one, but it's...bad, just bad. The art has some Dillion but as he passed away they needed a new artist. The replacement they got can't hold a candle to Dillion and the art is bad in my opinion. Then the story happens, it's also bad, Punisher doesn't act like he should, characters motivations make little to no sense. If you are a huge fan like me you'll probably buy it anyway. If you are new to the Punisher start with any of the comics written by Ennis and avoid this one. Hopefully next vol is better
