ProVac Vacuum Chamber, 3 gal

Was packaged well in the box. I felt the edge of the chamber was going to be too sharp and tear the seal under vacuum, so I took a few minutes to sand down the edges with a little 400 grit sandpaper. Easy to assemble too.Most of the time the chamber gets a vacuum just by setting the lid on and flipping the pump on. If it doesn't immediately start, I have to apply very little pressure to get it to work, or just pick the lid up and set it back on the chamber.Holds a vacuum for over 24 hours. I have no problem leaving this chamber unattended. Operates just fine at 130FThis is the best vac chamber I have ever purchased.

I use a 5hp dual stage pump to pull vacuum in this chamber and it holds up perfectly. I've pulled full vacuum in this chamber over and over and its never even made a noise. The top is thick and strong, the rivets that hold on the handle are top notch and do not leak. After a few uses the red gasket in the top will sometimes get a little ridge in it where the top pulled down onto the chamber and will sometimes leak a little if you align the gasket in a little different spot but normally after pulling for a few minutes it will pull down tight even if its aligned to a slightly different spot on the gasket ring. This thing works great and holds any material I am trying to degas without issue.

Gauge came broken. Was bent and the needle would hit the gauge backing. Installed a new gauge but i over tightened the fitting that goes to the lid and it snapped right off. To be fair the manual does tell you to not over tighten. I take responsibility for that part. Other than those 2 issues i think it is gonna do a nice job of degassing silicone.

good chamber....the lid is poorly cut and has jagged edges....the seal looks to be made of a crappy pourable material that is already beginning to detach....and the hardware use to attach the the gauge and hoses was complete junk....i had to rebuild the whole thing seeing how it arrived to me with stripped threads and poorly sealed threads...and the crappy vaccuum guage is approx. 3lbs off....for a company bragging bout its AMERICAN MADE PRODUCT it sure is constructed poorly....

Great chamber for degassing. has really turned my life around in terms of quality of product and people keep wanting more.however... When I received mine, the pressure gauge had been damaged and only allowed the needle to travel half the total distance. no real problem, except I do not know when to turn off pump.after roughly 15-25 times of using the chamber, I noticed there were small cracks stemming from the valve hole in the plastic. after a few more times of operation, the cracks multiplied and ran along the plastic lid. still degases fine, but will not hold pressure like it did when out of the box. I am currently trying to replace lid and gauge but am struggling to find parts for this chamber.

This tank has two jobs in my eyes. Achieve the proper pressure, then hold the proper pressure. It sure does get low enough for me (-28.5) but with the valves closed and the pump off it drops down to -15 within 10 minutes. Ive got a buddy with the same one, he has the same issue. If you buy this tank make sure you have a pump that is fine to run constantly.UPDATE: I finally had to actually use the tank. It held pressure for 16 hours straight with my pump running constantly. After about an hour of use the gauge read -29. My only real complaint about this isnt even about the tank, the gauge, or the lid. My only complaint is about the silicon mat they provided. After I was done i had red flakes all over my stuff. This isnt a problem as i have another mat that wont have this issue. Just something to think about, dont rely on the provided mat.

This is exactly what I was looking for at a good price. The first chamber I received would not hold a seal for some unknown reason. I didn't want to play around with the fittings or tighten too hard on the acrylic. I contacted the seller and told him what was going on. They emailed me a packing slip for the return and next day aired me a new one at no additional charge. I tested the new chamber and it worked perfectly. Been using it heavily for about a month now and I love it. I would highly recommend going with this seller because in the highly unlikely chance you get a lemon, it will be replaced. That is all.

Just got it today and put it straight to use right out of the box it still is currently in use and has been holding a vacuum flawlessly all parts are working great. I recommend this to anyone looking for a great vac chamber this is the one to get, I had tried a different vac chamber previously and it was a piece. Pro Vac did it right good job!!!
