Q: Can this mattress be inflated manually?

Yes, I've inflated with hand held pump

Q: What is the maximum weight it can take?

I dont know but this is the second one I've bought. Used twice and already going down even with a little person sleeping on it.

Q: Do I need to buy a separate pump?

It does come with a pump which is very light and handy. But the pump cant be used for deflating.

Q: We seem to have lost the cap/lid for where the pump goes. Can we f purchase a new cap only?

I very much doubt it, but I could be wrong.
