UPSIDES.Fit and finish are great. It's barely noticeable while using the controller.DOWNSIDES.Backlight only comes on after pressing a button. Unlike my remote, which activates with movement.U have to press a random button before starting a message.THEN IT GETS WORSE.Horrible pressure detection.U can lay on a button, and get nothing. Then, touch another, and get thirty of the same letter!A "how are you? " message can take 10 minutes😡

Definitely Should Buy!!!
Just got the product today. First time using a chatpad and I was impressed. I bought the chatpad to play Black Desert Online for my gaming laptop. I was advised to use one for extra button functions to make the controls much simple. The chatpad works well on my laptop for anyone wondering if they can use it on pc. Not surprisingly, it does work when typing in Google and Microsoft word. Great to have as a backup keyboard. The buttons are spaced out enough to my liking and shouldn't be a problem for anyone. Also, I didn't run into problems of letters double typing yet.There's a noticeable weight difference when attached to the controller, but still light. The controller is comfortable to hold when the chatpad is attached. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great fast buy
It’s great for a cheap fast to use keypad and I love the feel of the buttons and the click noise they make when pressed is oddly pleasant. Though sometimes if I unplug it to play and telling it in after it sometimes doesn’t register that it has reconnected and misses it. Or the buttons are just really sensitive so my senntencces ussually lookk likkee thiis. Man, when I rage in games the offenders probably just laughs 😂👌🏻👏🏻

Good idea, bad product
I mean, it works, but it makes more errors than my ex girlfriend. It's faster to type with the controller sticks and tapping a... Works for additional fortnite buttons, but since it just spams the letter you press, it's only good for weapons really. Wouldn't buy again and I don't use it anymore either.

Flip of the coin.....
I like having a chat pad. But I didnt realize that an off brand device could throw my system out of whack... This chat pad worked fine for the first couple weeks but then I noticed I couldnt hear or be heard in party's. Even though controller was up to date I had to constantly re install update to it with chat pad connected in order to make the party work.

Not for every xbox controller!
Maybe our chat pad was defective somehow or just doesn't work with the first day controller edition. Either way, headphone jack did not work and you can input letters but not get them to send. We returned it!

Has one major flaw
When plugged into the control it will drain the batteries even when the controller is off. This means it has to be removed when not in use. This is a pain because it is hard to get on and off.

The item works as described. Keep in mind that it uses a separate dongle that plugs into the Xbox. It eats up a USB port (I bought a USB hub). Keep in mind that only one controller can have this keypad at a time as it seems to use Bluetooth and only one dongle can be seen at any time.
