Easy to use, high precision, low sample size
The consistency of measurements is vital to me for comparative analysis, and this delivers. It uses a smaller sample size than some of the smaller units I've tried, which is very nice. I haven't done a lot of cross-comparison to verify accuracy, but the precision is excellent, with retested samples always getting the same reading, and drifting sample composition giving expected moving results. The lens could be easier to clean between samples, but it works.

easy to use for cannabis leaf sap analysis
got this for work. use it to test efficacy/reaction of foliar applications and soil drenches.1. find leaf in full sun with symmetrical same-sized, same-age counterpart in full sun (most similar leaf nearest the same node in same intensity light)2. pick leaf, squeeze juice (1-2 drops) into sensor. does not work in direct sun--find a consistent stable place to keep instrument between first and second readings. a garlic press inlayed with a finer mesh works well to squeeze juice without leaf matter. record brix%. clean sensor and keep instrument+sensor out of direct sun.3. apply soil drench, compost tea or foliars, test products, etc. to entire plant and/or rootzone4. wait 2 hours (or as long as you can while the symmetrical counterpart leaf is still in full sun. if solid overcast comes, take reading within minutes of reduced light intensity. uniform light intensity from both leaf samples is paramount.)5. take 2nd leaf sample while instrument is in same position/light exposure as first reading.6. compare readings. record results. repeat daily, or repeat through sections of crop, on different strains, etc. build and record data.very soon trends are recognizable. inputs and their efficacy can be approximately measured. cultural practices too. learn your cultivars, provide for their needs. try to achieve high brix going into flower. learn the correlation of brix to plant health, flower quality. good luck

Works well
Seems solid. Used it a few times and it's very easy. Will update when we've used in at 2ºC to see the temp compensation

Haven't experimented with yet but looks fun!
Haven't had a chance to use this yet, which is the only reason it sits at 4 stars. I won't lie it's a little bit out of expertise. I bought it so I could experiment with a friend! The product arrived fast and it looks very sturdy and reliable. I don't see any issues with it not working but I will update as soon as I use this.
