Ask for Andrea: A Thriller Paperback – 14 April 2022

I loved this book. I wasn’t sure if it would be for me as I’m not a fan of ghosts etc but I’m glad I gave this a go. I was hooked from the first page, really engaging, well written, captured the sadness of the stories without drowning in it. Really enjoyed the take on what happens when we die too. Off to find more books by this author :)

Ok, so I went in blind with this story and I wasn’t expecting the story to unfold as it did.. if I had known I probably wouldn’t have read it. As it went away from the genre of my choice..However.. I’m glad I did continue and it was such a great story! I found it both funny and sad in parts and also offered an insight of “what could be” which I found quite humbling.So yes! Loved the book, I do feel the end was a little rushed, hence the 4* but other than that. I really enjoyed it.

Unbelievable read! I found my new favourite author. Love the supernatural viewpoint, while addressing what happens after we die! Well written, great tension and suspense and very relatable characters. I will be looking to read all your books in the future. A female Stephen king with a bucket load more of soul!! Brilliant and horrible all at the same time. Pretty difficult subject matter but really suspenseful and creative idea for a story. V good book!

Having grown tired of stop starting endless romance novels I decided to try something different and stumbled on this. I have been gripped with this book for the past 24 hours even fighting a stomach flu.This was thrilling and heart wrenching all at the same time, I found myself crying and shouting on several occasions. beautifully written, cannot wait to read more of this authors work

Ask for Andrea is probably one of the most unique paranormal thrillers I’ve read, as none I’ve come across have ever been from the unique perspective of the ghosts of those who have been murdered by a crazed misogynist.I’ve never read a book and wished I could will the characters to suddenly develop paranormal gifts of physically harming other characters, but boy I sure did with this one! Every swing I kept hoping “this will be the one that lands.” It took me back to my 20s where I’d go “ghost hunting” in cemeteries just to say that I did it…the cold breezes, the popping lights, the batteries draining - all amazing touches of things that are reported in similar instances (and that I experienced, strangely enough.)What I liked: Ask for Andrea is the perfect read for spooky season. Well-written, creepy with the perfect dose of “ick” factor without being overly in your face putrid, and a sufficient amount of vengeance to leave you wishing that ghosts really could have a hand in helping law enforcement solve their own murders. Can I just say that I’ve never wished for a slow and terrifying death at the hands of a ticked-off haunting group of victims seeking retribution, but that would have been a glorious touch.What I didn’t like (but it’s me, not you): I will say that I’m admittedly bad at keeping up with names in books (it’s a fault, my brain just struggles with the back and forth if there are more than a few characters), so I did struggle a bit with remembering which character’s chapter I was reading. That said, it didn’t take away from the plot whatsoever. Again, I promise that it’s me, not you. 🤣Rating: 4.75 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 💫Feelings after reading: satiated, craving more

This story follows Meghan, Skye and Brecia through different timelines before and after their murder. Eventually these timelines catch up and these three girls band together to save the world from their murderer. They may be dead, but they definitely aren’t gone.I put this book off for so long thinking it would be cheesy and that the plot couldn’t be done well. Boy was I wrong. Noelle West Ihli gave these characters relatable qualities and a burning need for revenge. She drew me in on page one and didn’t let my interest go until the very last word. The suspense of not knowing that was going to happen, the freaky sense that this could have very well been a true story, the emotional rollercoaster of seeing your loved ones after death, and so much more, is what made this book so amazingly unique.I was absolutely blown away by this book. What a clever way to tell the story of a serial killer and his victims. I have never read anything like it. I already wish I could read it again for the first time.

A great read, I haven't been that invested in the outcome of a story for quite some time. No gore, no sadistic violent scenes, just sheer human drama and suspense. Will definitely read more from this author. My only criticism is that the plot is set up a bit overly complicated, making it harder than necessary to follow the characters at times. Still, much recommended!
