Moultrie Edge Cellular Trail Camera - 33MP, Built-in Memory

Connects easily and has taken great pictures. I left one of these out for a year. The camera was fine and had taken great pictures.

Truly a great cam and the viewing angles and great. You can see anything day or night, and it functions as stated on their page and in other reviews. Was so easy to set up, connects easily and stays connected. I used the 16battery option and even bellowing freezing this thing is still going strong. I have the $18 a month package with one cam, but it’s worth it ~ trust me ! I get photos, and have the ability to request up to 50videos a month. Not sure about the storage capabilities because all my photos are stored on the app and that’s all I need. (Storage capacity in camera?) Through rain, blaring sun, snow and a few crazy windy storms, this thing has given me zero issues. I have never been happy with a purchase for a cam. I don’t believe for this price point you will get any better. Motion sensor has never failed me, and you can even chose what animal you are looking to record to save batteries. Chose people vehicles etc. yes it’s a great cam all around 10✨!

I put 16 of of the ultimate lithium ion batteries in this camera in early December 2022. It was my hope that they would last for a few months. I set the camera to check every 6 hours and to take a test photo every day so I would know that it was working. Its March 20, 2023 and its still working great in a low signal area and it saves me 3 hours there and 3 back just to check my Reconyx cameras. The trigger speed is a little slow for a trail but so good and bright at night over a scrape or licking branch or a barn with equipment Sometimes it misses a 6 hour checkin but i think its switching to the stronger signal. Anyway, it catches the deer and my lawn guy and myself every time. I really love this setup and i own 5 reconyx cameras. It has sound but you have to be very close to the camera to hear it. I will buy more of this model after i see how long the batteries last. I am 100% satisfied so far. Update Sept 28, 2023 its still on the original 16 batteries. Im not kidding. Its still set to check in every 6 hours, takes a test picture every day and gets an occasional deer or the lawn guy coming by. If it makes it to December that will be one year on the original batteries. Im not kidding. Great job Moultrie and thank you. Update Oct 30th 2023. I purchase a second Edge and placed it on the same tree at the farm. This camera showed a weak signal and stamped Eastern time on the photos. This tree was nowhere near Eastern time and the other camera had good signal on that tree. After a hard reset that made no difference, I took the batteries out turned the switch on and drove 3 hours home. I setup the camera turned the power button off, put the batteries back in then turned the power on. The camera connected shows a good signal and stamps the correct time on the photos. I will take it back to the farm and try it there again. Nov 11, 2023 well this one went back to eastern time and a weak signal, but it sends videos so i bought 2 more. Very addictive. March 14, 2024 Update. The time finally corrected on its own and now has a good signal like my other 3. The PIR motion sensor stopped working on my first camera and customer support immediately replaced it after 1 year. Very satisfied with Moultrie. July 2024 - bought 2 more and they are working great although these only have one mounting hole. All the others have a mounting hole at the bottom and at the top on the back, strange its missing the extra 1/4 x 20 mounting hole.

This camera is a great value. Pictures are sometimes a little grainy but for the money and to have immediate access to your phone you can not beat the value.

For the price, this camera is great, and seemed (at first) to have much better coverage than my single-"band" (AT&T) only camera. However, the camera (and, to some extent, the app) have major issues. I simply cannot get time lapse to work, and even when I push connect for a "test" picture, with good signal strength, 90% of the time the picture never shows up in the app, even when I "watch" the camera send it (the lights for connecting...connected..etc. all light up and the camera goes back into "watch" mode, but nothing ever gets sent). So basically, captured pictures are getting sent maybe 10% of the time, and since there's no SD card, there's no way to tell what was not sent! Sadly, the price and the claimed features are great, but this camera simply doesn't perform as advertised. I'll keep it in case these issues are fixed via firmware update or something, but in the meantime I do NOT recommend buying this (and I'm so glad I didn't buy 4-5 more, like my hunting buddy suggested when this first came out!) Update 10/6/2022: This camera is terrible. It goes "offline" randomly (you have to go to the camera and physically cycle the power switch to get it to reconnect - a MAJOR pain), it does not trigger reliably, it uploads photos only about half of the time, and it eats batteries like candy. I have other Moultrie cameras that perform much more reliably, and I am extremely disappointed in this camera. I do NOT recommend that you waste your money on this. Fortunately, I didn't fork over the $100+ annual subscription fees. as this camera is going in the trash (unfortunately, the return window passed before I figured out what garbage it is). Stay. Away.

My husband and I needed an outdoor camera to watch over our e-bike, motorcycle and car. We knew our home WiFi wouldn’t reach the location. We use Ring indoors but didn’t want to get one for outside because it wouldn’t position correctly on the fence and we wanted it to be hidden. So we searched for an outdoor camera with a cellular connection and camouflaged. We came across this camera and read great reviews. Easy setup. Popped in 8 batteries and was connected immediately. The battery life is good. After several days of constant activity the battery is only down to 96%. The unit is camouflaged and not that obtrusive. The images and picture quality are top-notch. You can easily download video when needed. Notifications of movement come in by email and text within a minute of detecting motion. So far we are extremely pleased with this camera and highly recommend it.

I bought 2 of these cameras for $50 each on sale and because I liked they automatically connect to the strongest cell tower but unless you have great service I wouldn’t recommend unless you want to change batteries every month in a half. We were satisfied with the camera for only having fair service but would only get videos never any pictures and I had photo+video selected but if you have fair or weak service you will not receive any pictures at all and the videos you have to request and then wait for the camera to send them to you which could take a day or 2 I think the plans are more pricey compared to others for what you don’t get but you can change your plan during the time you pay if you wish. The plans are not the same price as advertised or we probably wouldn’t have got these. The quality of the videos I would have thought would have been more clear we have other cameras that are not cellular and just take the sd card at 24mp and they’re more clear than these. Overall I give it 3 star mainly because it eats the batteries so fast due to searching for service therefore it shuts off and on to much and when it takes videos on fair and weak service it’s just not worth the money. I would recommend them though if you have great cell service for the price.

this camera I set to photo all the time not every 10 seconds. very easy to use and picture quality is perfect. the monthly plan to track photos can be stopped at any time. connect to blue tooth is very simple. most highly recommend for any type of servailence

Living in Southern Ontario, I was able to connect to enough carriers for a very good signal. I like the simple functionality and the built-in memory card. However, each camera will need its own payment plan to function. Good image clarity and videos are nice.

I changed my review as it charges you in USD. 16.99$ USD plus tax $27 Canadian. That's way too much. I was pleased with the camera as in my original review below but paying almost$30 a month is ridiculous. Was 5 star now a 1 because of that. My cell phone works on and off where the camera is with little to no service. The camera has been out for almost 2 months and sending lots of pictures. I had it on upload immediately and I read after that if your service isn't good it will kill the batteries. 16 batteries dead after a month. I changed it to upload every 6 hours and now it's still 90% after another month.
