One most pleasant reading
What a lovely, thoughtful book! An easy pleasant way to look at situations that sometimes make us angry and relaxe, accept and go on.It is a book for all ages as everyone will find situation that resonate with them.I found the character pleasant to follow in his learning process and was sorry to get at the end of the book.

For those in the process of waking up....
This is a brilliant piece of the puzzle meant specifically for those on a certain path. A path of investigation and inquiry into who they are, why they are and where they wish to go in life and beyond. If you read this book, and I strongly recommend you do if you've come this far, you will add to your life's picture an insight into your own belief's and come away with an incredible understanding of your 'story'....this can free you in ways you perhaps only dreamed of before. Bon Voyage!

Trivial
I found this very contrived and shallow, convincing neither as to the problems raised nor the solutions offered. I can't account for the success it seems to be enjoying. I gave a copy as a Christmas present, and the recipient (in some embarrassment) had the same reaction.

The author has great talent for describing the environment in which the action takes place. If one is interested in metaphysical insights, presented in a very readable, non didactic way, this is a good read.

Perfection!
This little book spoke to my heart and soul like no other book I've read in a long time! A philosophy that we all need to be reminded of - take control of your life! I've bought other copies and handed them out to friends. I can't wait to hear what they think of this little gem.

Very good
As a more emotionally present person, I appreciate the learnings I gained from this book. Very insightful as most of us often forget to get to know ourselves first.

Happy, happy, happy!
What makes people happy? What is happiness? What does it mean to be happy? As was the case with Ken Dodd, who claimed it was the greatest gift that he possessed, these are questions this book touches upon but doesn’t answer. Likewise, Pharrell Williams is no more enlightening in his recent song, although he does offer a few clues as to what it might feel to be happy; e.g. a room without a roof! However, the book does provide a plethora of sound advice regarding limiting beliefs even if the Balinese sage, from whom our ‘hero’ receives it, comes across as somewhat unbelievable. I read this more or less straight off the back of the author’s other ‘self-help novel’, The Man Who Risked Everything’, which is set in Paris and, I must admit, it sounded as if the protagonist had stopped off in Paris on his way back home to the States the ‘voices’ in both (written in the first person) being almost indistinguishable.Nevertheless, I liked both books immensely, although this one, which has hardly any plot in the commonly accepted sense, slightly less so.

Very useful
I found this book very useful as it was like looking at a mirror and it gave answers to questions about happiness and I've applied them in my life and it has made a significant difference to my level of happiness. A good book to read after this is the Dalia Lama's cat as it it provides further insight. The book is written in fictional narrative but the pearls of wisdom underlying this story are true and real, thank you for a good book.
