Work for their intended purpose. A good size and quality, I used two to hang a quilt ladder and have had no issue with the weight. A great value!

This item exceeded my picky expectation. It is flawless, durable, and beautiful! I had not even heard of "Rubber wood" before, and was concerned it might be some weak type of wood. Wrong! This stuff is VERY tough and strong. Love these corbels!

Yes, the bracket is very solid, attractive, and well-milled. Beautiful, even cuts and heavy - these can support a lot of weight. These are pretty thick (width), about 2" across, so they look best on larger and/or longer shelves or woodwork. Might be overkill for a simple, decorative shelf. All the woods are very attractive, I got the rubberwood because it was the least expensive and I'm going to stain it anyway. But the color au natural is actually very pretty, a light pine-like hue with a touch of a pink or tan. The grain is tight but faint- very pretty. One twist to my review/story: I wanted the biggest brackets so opted for the 12" high (actually I'm using the longest dimension horizontally). I assumed that I would get two brackets, and when it came in the mail the thickness and shrink wrap made me think the brackets were simply pressed together. However, there was only one! I thought it was a mistake, and going back to review the item, the plural (brackets) was used, but otherwise it did seem to indicate one bracket. I will say that this order had several different sizes, and the pictures are accurate - if you select a smaller size, you'll possibly get 2 or 4 of them. The larger ones you get 1. Now maybe I read the description too casually, but it never occurred to me that there would only be one bracket! I've ordered a good number of these, and they always come in at least 2's. It still kind of stumps me why they would sell only one bracket. This would seem to make little or no sense unless you're only attaching a small surface piece or something - but no way for shelf use! I thought of returning it, but undaunted, decided that the bracket was too think for my needs. so I proceeded to vise it and hand saw the whole thing in half thickness wise. It took a little of my ability to stay even and saw exactly stright through without going too far off axis. Plus the design caused me to have to turn it in several directions to handle the saw the best way. After some 2 hours of hand-sawing, the bracket was sawn in two (see pic) and now I have two 1" brackets - perfect for what I needed anyway - this is a much better thickness while keeping the large size needed (wish they sold 1" think by 12" length ones!). I'd give the product a 5 but the inexact/inaccurate description lost a star. Just be careful ordering - the big ones come in only one; usually the smaller sizes have 2 or 4. Check the pictures!

I love these corbels!! We were looking for something with a little flair to add to our farmhouse style kitchen and these were Perfect!

I have purchased these wood brackets 4 times over the past 5 years … they are that good !! If properly installed can handle the weight on my shelves. Had to paint them white myself. They are expensive but I *would* purchase them again if I decide to put up more shelves.

Loved them. I stained them and put them up for support. They are really for decoration but my husband made new holes so they could help support our island.

I like the style and finish on these brackets. Will be easy to prep and paint, and they will look nice on my bar.

They are well built, and they stain easily, like pine. The interior is not sanded perfectly but it's to be expected at this price.

I bought two of these as brackets to hold up a kitchen counter top. There had been a decorative post that was a complete nuisance. I had the flooring replaced and the post removed - which should save some stubbed toes. These brackets are nicely done. The mounting mechanism is really not designed for this application - I think it is designed for holding up shelves. I was able to work around the mechanism and they look great.

These were exactly what we were looking for and a better price than in the store.
