Missing Pages
So I bought this book years ago. The original was out of print and rare, but despite the high listed prices, I still was bent on getting a copy. Cant say I ever regretted my purchase. When it comes to Gou Quan, unless you can read Chinese, any manual on the Fukien ground boxing is nearly impossible to find. The information here is a true glimpse into a rare yet completing chain link in the kung fu scene. Wether it’s to kick to stand up, or apply mixed knowledge with BJJ, this book is a highly recommended piece for anyone experienced. All in all, I was happy, but the book had Very weak binding, so now I crack it open as little as possible, sheets of info fall out each time. But this fresher, cheaper copy(and just that, a true copy machine copy) isn’t the full package. My book was ordered And published the same day?Well, good deal, but I’m missing 13 full pages of information. That’s 13-14 whole techniques just forgotten about. As for picture quality, like I said, it’s grainier than the original, not pleasant on the eyes. Could be cleaner. You’ll notice in the photos, the table of contents lead to what pages should have the techniques, but see that they are mismatched. And instead of a +110 page bookYou’re left with 97.3 out of 5 for a sturdy book, reliable info, pictures aren’t great but manageable, and cheap price.
