These are quite powerful binoculars and not meant for anything less than 50 feet away minimum... you will want to use a monopod or tripod with these. There is a 'speed' focus/zoom lever on the right side near the right eye port. These are quite large and they weigh a bit more than a typical hand-held pair.I have used them with a monopod and a tripod... plan on using these with a tripod. I was spotting birds about 800 to 1000 feet away and it was really hard to keep them in view on the monopod.Focusing can be a challenge because the zoom seems to change the focal plane and depth of field. The image is bright. I have a lot of issues that seem to happen at certain distances where it will appear as one image (like it should with binoculars) and when I use the zoom button, at some point the images diverge and I see double vision. I am not sure if that is something with the lenses or how I am using it. I have not had this happen on other binoculars but I have never used any this large.

I had high hopes for this binoculars and even bought a tripod for it.However, the shakiness is noticeable even with the tripod.Worse yet, I can't focus it.I have used dozens of binoculars without my glasses no problem.However, whether I use or don't use my glasses, I am unable to focus the binoculars.I have wiped the lens clean and done everything I can.But still unable to focus the binoculars, either eye.And yes, I know that you are supposed to focus with your Left eye first.But whether I do that, try both eyes at once, or just my Right eye, it won't focus.This is irregardless of distance.So I am planning to return the item and I strongly recommend that you don't buy this.I am just hoping they won't give me a hard time.If they send me a product that works, then I may re-edit this review but I doubt it.

What I dislike most about this pair of binoculars is they are heavy. But I knew that when I bought them. I do strongly advise that you use a sturdy tripod to hold these binoculars and there is built-in to the binoculars for you to do so.The other thing I am not as happy about are the eye relief pieces. They're to long and stiff.I use these binoculars for airplane and train spotting. They do work great. The zoom is a very nice feature that I do use.

I live on a ridge on a bay island, and I’ve wanted to be able to get a closer look at the boats and ships that pass by. This product works for me.It was a bit tricky to get the zoom and focus to work together at first, but the seller provides excellent instructions and assistance.These are the most powerful binoculars on Amazon, and I think nothing else goes to a 300 zoom because that power is not as simple to use, but they are really worth learning how to use!

the first one i got, the zoom either broke or was broken, very fragile. the second one i got the diopter would not focus. It was worth trying these though, the moon was very bright and big enough to see a lot of craters and detail when the zoom worked.

for the low price, well worth every penny, works better then expected, i can see craters on the moon very clearly with these, now if you a tall person of 6' or more you will want to get a 72 inch tripod s you can stand straight, its very hard to use these when bent over, and you need a tripod, they weigh 6 pounds and alomost impossible to hold still after a few minutes of trying to hold them, they do work very well though, and worth the money.

Tried these out, collimation is poor, focusing is poor, and the quality of the image is not good either, I have bushnells that are vastly superior.

I ended up purchasing a different pair of binoculars that suited my needs better but the seller was excellent to deal with and very accommodating.

I had a hard time dealing with this company who sells through Amazon, so I finally reached out directly to Amazon and they were very quick to take care of a situation for us!! Although we went through this the binoculars were of good quality!
