I down graded my review
Originally I gave this vac a glowing 5 star review. After over 4 mos of daily use, I'm down grading to a 2 to 3 star review. Here's why:1. Prior to having a puppy, this vac was great. It's suction was never as great as the more expensive ones, but it costs 75% less so i wasn't complaining. The app was very easy to use, it never crashed. I'm tech stupid and set it up easily.2. Post puppy - I would not purchase this again. With an increase in traffic (my, my husband and the dog) the vac cannot keep up. The lack of suction is very obvious with just an small increase in traffic. For the record my husband and I are obsessively clean people. My standards are a little higher, but that also means less work for the vac.3. The infrared sensors are not accurate enough to trust it to run when we aren't home. It hit the dog at least once and the dog was standing, drinking at his bowl. The vac ran right into him. The vac hits the water and food bowl daily, knocking them all over the place. It's sucked up toys 2 times. It also runs over our shoes which are left out more frequently because we're walking the dog 2 to 3 times per day.4. The vac cannot detect thin carpet. The carpet suction never kicks on, leading to more dust in the house, rather than less. We're on the area rug much more playing with the dog but the vac isn't picking up the small carpet fibers and dust. I have to vac that with my shark.5. Because we can't trust it, we can't have it do an auto clean. That's when I realized you can area clean, region clean and spot clean but if you want to mop you need to mop the entire floor plan. You can't choose a room.6. The mop pad doesn't raise over a carpet area. Also, you can't choose an area for it avoid mopping, like an area rug. If you block off an area, that boundary is there even during regular vacuuming. This is a problem because....7. The water tank leaks. It's random, an unpredictable. I've had it leak the entire tank, I've had it leak small amounts while vacuuming (not mopping). You can't trust the tank to be on there every day, filled ready to go. You need to empty it after each run.8. Also, its getting louder and louder and slower and slower. If you work from home it's super annoying. So now we need to constantly monitor the tank, clean after it cleans and schedule it when we're home but not doing anything because it's so loud.9. Initially the cleaning was pretty good. Now, it's leaving dust, dirt and refusing to clean in corners. I have to clean after it.Bottom line....If you live alone this vac will be fine for you. If you only have hard floors, wood, vinyl or tile, this would be fine. In any other situation, this is not a good choice.

Fantastic value, reliable, and keeps toddler crumbs under control
We've been using this for not quite two months after jumping on a $200 deal and we've overall been extremely happy with it.I have an 2.4Ghz band that I use for home automation with a 20Mhz band width, and thankfully, even the most difficult and cheaply made devices have been able to connect. This vacuum wasn't an exception and connected right away. After the first run, I took another review's complaint in mind and set up the map zones on a tablet to essentially "zoom" in and avoid any tiny-map problems, which made it simple to set up.This is our first robot vacuum and we, of course, had a lot of learning to do on the usual things to avoid including keeping blankets from hanging off of the couch, avoid a few tight areas where it got stuck once or twice, make sure to put shoes on the bottom of the shoe rack to avoid it trying to 4x4 it's way in there and get stuck, pick up stringy cat toys and dangling USB cables, etc. Honestly, all things that we'd likely need to do with any robot vacuum. Not too bad overall and now it runs pretty reliably.I did put the base in a corner with a few inches of clearance around it, and while I didn't expect it to work there, I had hoped for convenience sake. Thankfully, it hasn't had a problem with it, and it's more out of the way than the alternative options. In the nearly two months of it running every weekday, and once in a while on the weekends, the first bag is only about 1/2 to 3/4 full. I picked up some aftermarket M7 bags, but have yet to find cheaper HEPA filters since every brand has a different size. I'll likely just need to buy a couple packs from ihomeclean in the near future. The mop is a nice additional feature, but since it can't travel over carpet, it can't get into the main bathroom. Overall, that's okay since kitty litter is the problem there anyway and the vacuum drastically helps with that. I've only used the mop once on a weekend for the hallway that the base lives, the kitchen and the dining room, and while it's not going to be able to get up dried dust that gathered from where our toddler dropped some form of wet food, I never expected it to. Afterall, we try to stay on top of those messes anyway. So for picking up whatever is left after vacuuming, it actually did pretty well. We're patiently waiting for iHome to introduce their cleaning solution that's compatible and will definitely buy it when it's available. We've been waiting for a decent robot with lidar and a emptying base to come down in price before we bought into this ecosystem, and overall, this Nova model has hit all of the boxes that we were looking for. Is it going to deep clean your carpet? Definitely not. But if you vacuum your floors with a decent upright, and then let this unit maintain, it seems to do a fantastic job.

So happy with warranty support!
I researched robot vacuums for over a year and finally picked this one for the needs of our home. The robot itself does a great job cleaning. The app has issues (loses it mapping from time to time, won't send push notifications to my phone so when there's a problem you have to go in the app to see the issue), but it seems to be a work in progress and I have hope it will improve over time. I wanted to write this review to say how pleased I am with warranty support. The front wheel snapped off and my robot could no longer dock. I contacted the company to inquire how long the warranty was and expected an annoying answer that would cost me either a whole new robot or a costly repair. To my surprise, the company immediately sent me a new wheel along with a video tutorial on how to replace the wheel. My robot was up and vacuuming again in less than a week. I'm super impressed with the support and will lean to iHome robots on future purchases!

Subpar construction, lasted less than 6 months. Buyer beware.
I've had my Nova for barely 5 months (purchased July of 2022). With normal usage it worked alright. There was an issue with water leakage which other reviews have covered. My cleaning schedule activates the other day....unit makes some noise...the wheels can be heard turning. Then nothing. Wheel error notification. I take a look at it, nothing is in the wheels that I can see. They are still able to turn forwards and backwards. Try again. Now a Fan error notification. Trying to find anything online about the error notification types is an exercise in futility. I reach out to the seller Magma Group, and find out the warranty offered is a single month. $500 for the unit is not an inconsiderate amount, and having my unit last less than 5 months is highly suspect. This type of warranty coverage speaks volumes. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this seller.

SHOULD NOT BE SOLD IN CANADA
This vacuum should not be sold on Canada, nor should it be on Amazon.caThe app for this thing is not supported in this country making half the features useless.
