KBShimmerBest Buds Tri-Thermal Nail Polish - 0.5 oz Full Sized Bottle

I have been looking for color changing nail polish for some time. I took a chance and tried KBShimmer. I Iove them!!! I was worried about the wide applicator brush but it actually applies easier because it’s wide. It is a bit translucent on the first coat but the second gives great coverage!

I have three versions of this nail polish. It is fun and true to the picture if you have longer nails. If you have very short nails the nail polish doesn't work the way you think it will. It really does go by the heat of your skin. So the heat coming off your skin makes it one color and the cold air on the long part of your nail makes it another color. The only thing I was disappointed in was after 3 months of having this nail polish it became very thick and gummy in the bottle. For the price I was disappointed it didn't even make it to 6 months. Worth the fun if you don't mind getting a new bottle every 3 months.

Updated: had a chance to apply three coats over a clear base and with a top coat (Seche Vite). Amazing quality, and so much fun that I ordered 3 more thermals from Kbshimmer.initial: Love this! I have been looking for a good quality thermal nail polish since I transitioned away from soak-off gel. I put this on over the polish already on my nails. You can see on my pointer finger where the polish underneath had chipped. The polish is thin, but this is consistent with all the other thermal polishes I've tried. I would simply put this over a different base so you don't use a lot of the thermal polish to build up the color. Will definitely be buying more KBShimmer colors!

I have been wearing this for over a week with a one nail tip touch up. It is so mesmerizing! My hands stay cool so it usually shifts between a deep purple to a plum. The green pops out at night or in the shower. The shifts in the sunlight are as fun as the thermal shift. I am a grandma so I have loads of experience with nail polish. I do recommend a shiny top coat and two to three coats of the polish but that’s pretty much any color. Trying to decide which one to get next!

Maybe mine is ruined? I don’t know. It arrived the green color and never changed. The day was hot (TX summer) it makes sense it was green, but all other tri-thermals that I own turn the cold color in the bottle and this stayed green. I thought I’d put it on and see what happens. Not a thing. So disappointed. Does anyone know if extreme heat can ruin these? It has been getting up to 106 F in TX lately. I love the look so much I’d be willing to try again in the colder months if it’s a defective polish, but for now… no more KB shimmer color changing for me. I’ll stick with Fancy Gloss because those are consistently color changing.
