TIME-LIFE Everything You Need To Know About the Bible: From Genesis to Revelation, Your Illustrated Guide

In my opinion, this book "Everything you need to know about The Bible" under the Editorial Direction of Stephen Koepp of Time/Life Books is quite artificially presented to the public with not much attention to "Actual-Count" reality of Biblical Chronology Events. I think it has not much depth in regard to a math-verifiable version of Biblical Chronology that can be followed and confirmed. Such a Sequential Biblical Event Timeline can be viewed at: www.exegenesis.com . Just click-on Vol. #1 in the blue-framed-box at the left-hand-side of Home Page. This will enable anyone that is really interested in Biblical History to view Hebrew History for over 5,000 years.....To our day! I do find that the Egyptian 18th Dynasty "date" for that era is acceptable, but certainly not proven! The timeline of the Pharoahs on page 54 are, as most people already know, "traditional" and just one of several "absloute" timelines for that Egyptian Dynasty. What I do find very pleasing about this book is the general over-all layout and the incorporation of these superb color pictures. It is very well tought-out in it's linear form of presentation. In conclusion, in my opinion, this fine book could prosper and become a favorite of many a reader if it were to include a verifiable math-based sequential biblical timeline that each reader could verify, with a simple calculator, for him or herself.Robert P. Since I'm one of the authors, of course I think it's a good book.

This copy is intact and has colorful rather than faded pictures to interest and delight. It looks like a good intruduction to its topic although I doubt it can tell "everything" you need to know because there is absolutely no substitute for in-depth reading and analysis at various times of one's life of the Bible itself.

The content inside the book is great. You get a summary of all of the important bible stories, that's a easy to read and understand. The beautiful vibrant pictures add to the stories. My only complaint is the the book is poorly made, and is falling apart before I can read all of the stories. Clumps of pages are coming apart from the binding. It's a shame that such a wonderful book is so poorly constructed.

This is a lovely book - so nice in fact, that I bought several copies of it to give as Christmas gifts and one to keep for myself. Buy this book - you will not be disappointed!

I received this book as a birthday present and enjoyed it so much that I bought a copy for a friend and one for my grand daughter.It is beautifully illustrated with religious art, contains valuable time lines, and highlights key events and important individuals. It is a wonderful addition for everyone's religious library.

I was looking for something simple to summarize the stories of the Bible.

Excellent book. It has wonderful pictures and gives you the coles note version of passages in the bible.
