This is the 3rd expanding steamer basket I've purchased. The first one had legs that were way too short so I had to keep adding water or the pot would burn before the food was done. I tossed it and got the 2nd basket which had longer legs but the handle couldn't be tightened so the basket wobbled with the weight of the food. Every time I lifted it out of the pot, the basket would tilt to one side and the food would always roll off back into the boiling water which then splashed (and burned) my hand. I tossed that one, too, and got this one from Sihuuu. So far, this basket has worked out perfectly! The handle is tight so the basket doesn't wobble, the legs are long enough so I can steam even potatoes without having to add more water before they're done, and since the handle is silicone, I don't burn myself pulling the basket out of the pot. LOVE IT!

After using my last stainless steamer back for almost two decades, it was finally time to replace. I opted for this because of the reviews, the plastic handle for easier removal by hand, and the slightly smaller size which I was hoping would allow me to use this with both my 3 quart and 1.5 quart saucepans.Out of the box it was obviously this was well made, with the blades being much sturdier than the steamer I replaced or most that I've seen. The plastic handle works well, allowing me to remove the basket almost immediately with needing an oven mitt or a fork. And while this does fit both of my saucepans, it's not ideal.In the 1.5 qt. saucepan (internal dimensions 6.25" diameter x 2.75" height) the fold-out legs have to be left folded in, leaving very little room for water underneath the steamer. But it does work as long as I'm careful with the water level: too low and there won't be enough steam, and too high and the veggies will sit in the water, which kind of negates the point of using a steamer. It will fit my 3.0 qt. saucepan (internal dimensions 8" diameter x 3.5" height) with the legs folded out, but even without extending it, the plastic handle then comes up just a hair too high, causing the pan lid to not completely seal. It does work, but it's not ideal. I could also fold in the legs as I do with my 1.5 qt. saucepan, but I've got the same water level issues.If you have pots taller than 3.5", this is very well made and will work just fine; but if you have shorter or non-stick pans (where folding in the legs would cause scratching), I'd recommend you scour reviews and Q&As to find a steamer you know in advance will work. My saucepans are pretty much standard dimensions, so I doubt I'm the only one having this issue. Too bad, because with slight design tweaking this would be a 5-star product. So much so that I'm thinking of modifying the handle and legs to make this fit better.

Excellent steamer. It's actually more perfect for my needs than I expected. I had been steaming fish in tin foil for about a month now and used a 14 dollar roll of it. This steamer will absolutely pay for itself and it's way easier and less messy to use. I highly recoomend.
