Lightweight, Hydrating, and Perfect for Acne-Prone Skin
I have acne-prone and textured skin, and it’s hard to find a moisturizer that hydrates without breaking me out. This one is amazing—very lightweight, absorbs fast, and gives my skin a soft, healthy look without feeling greasy. After using it consistently, my skin feels calmer and more balanced. It works really well with my salicylic acid products and has never irritated my skin. My face stays hydrated all day, and it has helped reduce that tight, dry feeling after cleansing. If you struggle with acne, clogged pores, or dehydration, this moisturizer is a great option. Honest review: it won’t magically erase acne, but it keeps the skin barrier strong and makes everything else work better.

Good Moisturizer For Oily Skin
Overall, I think this is a good moisturizer, especially for those with oily skin(that’s also simultaneously dry, and not combination as in one patch dry, one patch oily. No, I have a whole face that produces enough oil that I could fry chicken with while also being dry and itchy and if it gets bad enough flaky. Don’t ask me why, I just live in it.) like myself. It’s one of the only moisturizers, oil-based or otherwise, that both hydrates and doesn’t make my face greasy. That being said, there are things I both like and dislike about it. Pros: Non-greasy, relatively simple ingredient list(though I don’t know if I’d call it minimalist as the brand name says), moisturizing, makes a good base for makeup, nice texture, good size for the price. Cons: It smells awful. If you have a strong nose like I do it smells almost like old liquor, and it’s terrible. But it’s also fragrance free, so that’s the price we pay(willingly). You’ll sometimes need to use a lot if you’re extra extra dry, but that is also to be expected with a non-oil based moisturizer. The tube design is really annoying, both early on but most especially when you get to the end. I’d pay a little extra for it to come in like a glass container or something.

This stuff is so nice
I have a really bad T-zone, very dry cheeks but my forehead and nose produce enough oil every day to deep fry chicken. I really like this stuff. I can’t say it reduces my own oil production but it feels good to not be putting oil on my face when I know my skin is just going to produce more later. It’s the first time I’ve tried any oil free moisturizers and I was pleasantly surprised when it went on looking matte instead of gross and shiny. It’s lightweight and you don’t feel like you’re caking bacon grease onto your face when applying. The consistency reminds me of petroleum jelly a bit, but if it was a little more gel-like. No irritation or burning, no smell. The reason I left off one star is because of a few minor things- 1) it doesn’t spread very far, I definitely have to use a lot more than other oil based moisturizers and I’m afraid I will go through it quickly because of that, and thus have to purchase moisturizer a lot more often than I’ve ever had to, though I do still feel like it’s worth it for the cost because my face does not take well to the oil based stuff, it clogs my pores and just adds to the shininess of my oily skin 2) If I have a particularly dry zit that’s healing I have to put on a lot more extra in that spot, whereas with other moisturizers it usually seemed one coat everywhere would cut it. Not with this, I have to go back over after applying everywhere and add an extra dab on my dry zits or else you can see the flaky skin poking through 3) I REALLY wish this was in a tub instead of a bottle. I hate having to spend extra effort and time to squeeze out stuff like toothpaste every single day for the last few weeks of the tube’s life. And needing to apply multiple times when I have dry acne to cover up, it’s just a big inconvenience. I would be ecstatic if Minimalist could upgrade this to a tub that I can just screw the lid off of and take a swipe of product however many times I need to every morning All that aside though I’m pretty happy with the product itself. Everyone’s skin is different; don’t knock it til you try it!

I recommend to anyone who has oily skin
I’m really liking this moisturizer it’s very lightweight and it keeps my face from getting very oily which i love. The price on it is decent for what it does and i bought the smaller size to try which i’m going to get the bigger one when im done with this one. My skin feels brand new as well. I love the quality of this product

Lightweight and affordable
Doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or weighted down. It also doesn’t even irritate already irritated pimples or dry under eyes and most do that to me. I’ve repurchased this several times now

Good product but packaging was disappointing
I really liked the actual product, it’s moisturizing without being heavy or leaving my skin with a greasy feeling, but the container seemed to be like half full when I received it. I had to squeeze a lot to get the product out and it was brand new, didn’t last long at all.

Good product, too small for our purposes
Worked great for my husband’s overly oily hands, just not enough of it for that purpose. Would probably be great for use on the face. We may come back to it as it is quite functional for the price point and no sketchy ingredients, which is quite uncommon for all three of those things to coexist. Kept the oil at bay without drying his skin and causing rebound effects. He said it absorbed quickly and wasn’t greasy, which can be a problem given why he is using it. His skin isn’t sensitive so hard to say if it would work for that or not, but it didn’t cause any problems that way. Little to no fragrance so that was nice too. Could easily be used by male or female as it didn’t have a smell. Only other thing was it seemed he had to re-apply it after washing every time, obviously wouldn’t be a problem for facial use, so still giving it a 5 star.

Great non-greasy moisturizer
After looking everywhere for first aid beauty’s oil free moisturizer and realizing it’s gone, I wanted to find something similar. I went through alllll sorts of moisturizers and hated them all. But then I found this one! It’s not greasy at all and doesn’t leave a residue on my skin or make me break out. The only complaint I have is the packaging - the tube feels half empty when you get it and you have to squeeze out a lot of air to get the product out. BUT, that’s ok because it’s the ONLY moisturizer I like now!

The only face cream I could find that clearly stated it was oil free, fragrance free and hypoallergenic. I needed it in combination with prescription acne cream which is very drying. This cream moisturised without being overly greasy and it absorbed quickly into my skin. It's fairly light.
