The sum is greater than the parts, and the parts aren't bad to begin with
I'm more than happy with this purchase. I'd been using the same $15 knife for about 3 years and it was time for a new one, and an upgrade at that. I was keeping my eye out for something that stood out to me, and I ended up seeing a review of the Praxis. The reviewer called it "The best budget knife" or something like that. I looked into the Praxis more and found a lot of people were saying similar things. I'm not an expert, but after purchasing, I'm not surprised at all. It definitely feels like something I should've paid a lot more for. It opens and locks perfectly, has a satisfying click to it, it's heavy, it's sharp, it has a nice large belly and sharp tip, it looks great, is easy to take apart (T-8 screws all over), looks fantasic. I'm really, really happy with it, and am probably going to buy one for my nephew as well (might spring for the damascus one!). Only downside is the steel quality, but to be honest you shouldn't expect more for $40 and to be fair it's polished amazingly, has a nice high grind. I'll probably sharpen it once or twice a year with my usage. The knife overall is designed beautifully, has perfect curves and everything lines up perfect too. It also comes with a zipper pouch lined with a soft interior, as well as a microfiber cloth. Nice touch. I'm going to keep Civivi in mind for future knife purchases, no doubt. This thing is ergonomic, pretty, sharp, shiny, snappy (yet smoothly sluggish, in a nice way), and satisfying.Note that after the second day, I took mine apart and sprayed it with CLP and put Hoppe's #9 gun oil on the bearings. It didn't need it, but certainly didn't hurt and it could be placebo but it feels even smoother somehow than it already did out of the box. I'd recommend oiling yours after purchasing just to be on the safe side (plus you'll learn how the thing is put together and see the build quality) and you will not be disappointed with this knife whatsoever.

Extremely sharp. Sturdy in the hand. Well made.I can find no faults with this beautiful folding knife.I would compare it to some of my Japanese SOGs.

Sweet little knife
This knife is a little bit of joy. Great action and blade design in a compact package that performs well beyond its size and price. Beautiful.

Great knife for the money.
Great knife! The gold liners stand out but they’re not overly distracting. Would recommend.
