TGM-7 Resin: The Perfect Solution for 15mm Miniature Printing
Introduction:Over the course of the last decade, my search for the ideal resin for 3D printing 15mm miniatures has led me to try numerous options. However, one resin stands out from the rest as the ultimate solution for my needs: TGM-7. As a dedicated historical wargamer, the 15mm scale presents its own unique challenges, particularly when it comes to durability. Thankfully, TGM-7 has come to my rescue, providing a perfect balance between print quality and robustness. In this review, I'll outline the key features and benefits of TGM-7, which has revolutionized my hobby experience.Print Quality and Durability:TGM-7 resin not only excels in delivering exceptional print quality but also exhibits remarkable durability that withstands the test of time and intense gaming sessions. I can confidently attest to this resin's outstanding performance, as I have printed hundreds of miniatures using TGM-7 without experiencing any breakage or significant damage.Even during extended gaming sessions or when loaning out armies to fellow wargamers, including those who might have had a few too many beers, TGM-7 has proven its reliability. The miniatures printed with this resin have consistently demonstrated exceptional resilience, resisting accidental drops, impacts, and rough handling that often occur during intense gaming moments. The robust nature of TGM-7 resin ensures that the delicate components, such as pikes, remain intact, even under the pressure of intense gameplay. This level of durability brings peace of mind, allowing me to fully enjoy my gaming sessions without the constant worry of fragile models breaking or getting damaged.Whether it's passing on my armies to fledgling wargamers or engaging in extended gaming sessions, TGM-7 resin has consistently demonstrated its ability to withstand the rigors of real-world usage. It has become my go-to resin not only for its print quality but also for its exceptional durability, providing a reliable solution that exceeds expectations.Simplicity and Convenience:Prior to discovering TGM-7, I often found myself engaging in a trial-and-error process, attempting to mix different resins to strike the perfect balance between durability and print quality. This approach was time-consuming, frustrating, and yielded inconsistent results. However, TGM-7 has simplified the entire process, eliminating the need for experimentation and guesswork. This resin provides a reliable and consistent solution, sparing me from the role of a "garage scientist." With TGM-7, I can focus on the creative aspects of my hobby, confident in the resin's performance. As an added boon, the resin doesn't separate nearly as much as other resins, meaning that when my printer goes cold for a few days, I don't have to get the gloves out and reconstitute it. I usually just let the platten go to zero-20mm a few times to slosh it around a bit and I'm off to the races.Cost and Value:While it's true that TGM-7 comes with a higher price tag compared to some other resins on the market, the old adage "you get what you pay for" rings true in this case. The exceptional print quality, coupled with the durability that TGM-7 offers, makes it worth the investment. In the long run, the reduced frustration and time spent on reprinting or repairing broken models far outweigh the initial cost. TGM-7 allows me to enjoy my hobby to the fullest, without compromising on quality or sacrificing the longevity of my miniatures. Conclusion:In my quest to find the perfect resin for 3D printing 15mm miniatures, TGM-7 has emerged as the clear winner. Its ability to deliver outstanding print quality, coupled with remarkable durability, makes it the ideal choice for historical wargamers like myself. TGM-7 simplifies the printing process, sparing me from unnecessary experimentation, and allows me to focus on the joy of creating and gaming. While it may be a bit more expensive, the value it brings to my hobby experience far exceeds the cost. If you're looking for a resin that strikes the perfect balance between print quality and durability, TGM-7 is the answer.

This Stuff Is Magic
Miniatures printed using this resin simply never break. It's durable, flexible, and hard, and it captures detail just as well as high quality resins from other brands (SirayaTech Fast and Phrozen Aqua are my favorites). The only drawbacks are the price, and that the resin is more difficult to print with. Supporting models requires extra care and attention because of the high flexibility (overhangs WILL delaminate without sufficient support). It is more viscous and requires higher rest/LOD times for good results.Ameralabs does not recommend high lift speeds, but I have found that extreme high speeds ("vroom") work just as well as very low speeds if supported well.Ameralabs does recommend hollowing, and this seems warranted to not only sufficiently prevent delamination, but also to save as much material as possible (did I mention this stuff is expensive?).Overall, this is the best resin I've found for printing miniatures. You might get better results with a mix, but I've found that to be fraught with inconsistent results. Save time and get this.

Best Resin For Gaming
I now use exclusively TGM-7 and have printed miniatures at different scales and levels of detail and it does a great job! I have even printed a 28mm scale titan with it. The printed minis even feel high quality. To get one to break I had to throw it against my front door overhand baseball style and then only the tip of a small pistol and tip of a thin swagger stick broke. you do have to slow things down alot look at their site for speeds and some pre-supported models need a little extra support due to how thick and heavy the resin is. If this resin is within your budget and you are willing to get it dialed in you will LOVE it.

STRONG, Flexible Resin
Great, strong, flexible resin, EXCELLENT for miniatures and anything else. Almost never worry when you drop a mini on a hard floor. A bit pricey and I hope that cost comes down, but otherwise would 10 of 10 recommend. We have completely switched to it in our Etsy Biz Minka's Marvels. Buy this resin!

Durable resin with crisp details
I am a hobbyist printer who has three 3D printers two of which are resin. I've tried several brands and types of resin over the past 2 years and nothing compares to TGM-7. The quality and durability is top notch. I needed something that could stand falling off of a gaming table without shattering and this resin exceeded my hopes. Not only was I satisfied with the resin, I was also very happy with AmeraLabs as a company when recently they had a supply shortage and resin was unavailable. I reached out via their website to ask to be kept in the loop about availability on Amazon and they did. If you need a resin tough enough to withstand falls and heavy-handed players but still give you crisp details, give this a shot. I think it's worth the price tag in my opinion.
