Don't wind it too tightly!
This is a beautiful watch, really nice feeling the heft of it in your hand and I love the uniqueness of the number 4 being a IIII instead of the traditional IV, which seems to be exclusive to this company's work. However, as some of the less-than-3-star reviews have said, my watch stopped working after about two weeks of use. One day, I just wound it and watched it as it ceased to move. Why? No idea, but I thought about taking it to a watch repair place for service and the price to repair it was much more expensive than the watch itself. A paperweight, yes... but a lovely paperweight. (shrugs)Update: I threw the watch in a drawer for a couple of years because I got caught up with other things in life. I took it out and looked at it today and decided to pop the hood and see if I could find a reason why it stopped. The spring was wound tightly, and after reading multiple reviews about winding these watches too tightly, I figured I might try "nursing" it along. I got the mechanism to start by touching the weighted wheel. It started ticking, but stopped about an hour later. I kept on doing this an after about six touches, the watch began ticking away without any help at all. I appears the spring was loose enough now to get it working. After it wound down, I wound it back up about halfway to full tension and the watch works just fine, keeps good time and there are no problems. I upped the rating by two stars here, but I think it would be a good idea for the company to at least tell novices like myself not to wind these watches too tightly!

Nice Piece. Definitely Worth The Price.
Review of: Vantasy Classic Antique Roman Half Hunter Black Steel Metal Hollow Skeleton Pocket Watch.I purchased this watch because I wanted a mechanical pocket watch. For the price I am amazed at the level of quality. The weight is proper for a mechanical watch. It does not feel cheap. The watch cover face opens and closes very smooth. The mechanics of cogs and mechanism can be viewed through the front and back. The only error is the Roman Numeral four (4) is represented as IIII instead of IV. I have not researched the history of watches from the 19th Century where perhaps this was common or not. After receiving it I set the time and wound the spring. I have monitored the time for twenty-four hours and the time has kept pace with digital time losing probably only seconds, if any. Another positive factor is that the watch has a sweeping second hand. That is a nice touch and was indicative of the more expensive pocket watches from days gone by. The color is an antiqued brown for both the watch and chain fob. For those interested in timepieces or for any other reason this watch is a good buy.

Other than that it is a great watch and after only 2 days of having it
i would give 5 but it keeps stopping randomely (more than likely i did something wrong but i blame the watch) if you havent had a wind watch just wind it clockwise till it starts to give a little resistance then stop. if you dont it will break. Make shore you keep it wound. Other than that it is a great watch and after only 2 days of having it, it felt natural/relaxing (sorry cant describe the feeling right) comforting to pull it out of my pocket and check the time. Also quicker than your phone if you use the chain and can read roman numerals.

the other two came in nice boxes.
I have ordered 3 steampunk watches from 3 different sellers..the other two came in nice boxes..this in little plastic bag..oh well, price was good..took it out of bag and was very happy..beautiful watch..opened it to look at face ..nice..well now the latch or whatever catches and hardly ever pops open..was ordered for gift but will keep trying to make sure its not just a fluke..if not will order one from one of the other sellers..but it is a pretty watch..shame

Really cool looking, with major drawbacks
I bought this for my boyfriend, and he loved it. It looks just like appears in the photo, with the cool skeleton watch design. HOWEVER, there were some major flaws here. The first one that I noticed was that what I thought would be a glass window was actually cheap plastic. Also, the roman numeral IV is incorrect, and appears as IIII. Both of these factors were disappointing, but I could deal with them. However, the watch simply stopped functioning after two weeks. My boyfriend kept trying to wind it but it simply wouldn't work. Luckily, Amazon gave us a full refund.

Quality equals price
I purchased this for a costume piece for my fiance and his Steampunk costume set he is working on. Looks great but don't expect it to keep accurate time without constantly winding it and the parts are pretty cheap. However for the price and what I got it for it works out well.

Great-looking watch for an awesome price!
I purchased this watch because I thought it looked fantastic, but even the pictures don't do it justice! This watch not only looks great, but feels sturdy and well-made too. I was worried that the metal design on the front might be too thin and bend if pressed too hard, but that is definitely not the case. The "mineral glass" I do believe is plastic, but you wouldn't know by just glancing at it and it doesn't take away anything from this watch at all. We will see how it holds up in the long-run but for now, I am extremely happy I decided to purchase this pocket watch! If you're thinking about getting it, I definitely recommend it. You just can't beat the price for what you're getting!

alright
The watch is indeed beautiful but it came out defected I think. The button from on top is stuck and won't let me close it. Everything else works but the dial gets stuck when opening and closing it.
