Great speed at a very resonable price
I was able to achieve close to the same speed as with a wired connection. Although usually the Windows native drivers are newer than the ones that come on a CD with a device, the opposite was true. The Trendnet website had the same version driver as what was on the CD, so I used that instead of the Windows native driver. This is my secondary PC and is on an older machine (Intel i7 3770K based) running Windows 10 (PC won't support Windows 11 due to no TPM and older CPU) so it was nice upgrade to an older machine (My newer build is running Windows 11 on i9 platform). The card is based on Intel Proset chipset. Support for acx (Wifi 6) over just ac was a plus! Went through a load of download/upload speed tests and results were great each time. Connection is also very stable ... not a single dropout. Bluetooth 5.2 support was another plus! (you will need a spare USB 2 internal header on the motherboard to use Bluetooth, which I happened to have). Highly recommend this wi-fi card.

Works perfectly on Macbook Air
I have Yosemite on my early 2014 Macbook Air. After installing the most recent downloaded driver, the TRENDnet USB GigE adapter went right online and began working immediately. However, there is one difference between this USB adapter and Apple's Thunderbolt adapter. If you are using multiple network profiles, you will need to load the device onto each profile manually and separately. This is unlike Apple's Thunderbolt GigE adapter which loads across all existing and new profiles automatically. So, for example, if you create a brand new network profile, you'll need to click the + and then choose the TRENDnet adapter to add to the profile. Once added, it lights right up and comes online. How would you know to do this? If the profile doesn't contain the adapter when you plug the adapter into the USB port, it won't light up or activate. I quickly realized that the profile did not have the adapter listed and added it. If there is one thing I would like TRENDnet to change is to automatically load the device into whatever profile is currently active so that the adapter 'just works' like Apple's Thunderbolt adapter. However, the TRENDnet driver does automatically load onto the profile currently active at the time the driver is installed. It just doesn't install into any existing profiles or into any new network profiles you might create.Note that I would have used Apple's Thunderbolt adapter for my needs except that I'm using that port for a second monitor. So, the only choice left is a USB GigE adapter when I use the second monitor. I'm also a little surprised that Apple doesn't offer a USB version of their GigE adapter because of this exact issue. Though, I'm glad that this adapter works as well as it does.

It works but doesn't show/indicate that it is connected/working.
It works with my Acer Chromebook 15, but it didn't tell/show me that it was connected/working.The reason for 4 stars instead of a 5, is the lack of any paper instructions re using it with an Acer Chromebook 15, and thatit works, but doesn't show that it is connected/working.I lucked out and tried to see if I had a ethernet connection. It worked and is very fast. The connection is a simple/easy~plug the ethernet rj45 in the Trendnet connection slot and plug the USB connection into my Acer 3.0 USB port.. However, there is no icon showing that you are connected to the ethernet.I can now use my Acer Chromebook 15 like a desk top. With the above connections, I use a HDMI cable to connect my Chromebook to my new View Sonic 22 " monitor. I also, use a Logitech USB wireless keyboard/mouse.I have incredible HD images on my View Sonic monitor. The Acer Chromebook 15 with this setup is very fast. I can sit back in my easy office chair and do what ever I need to do with the increased security of an ethernet connection versus WiFi with the USB keyboard/mouse on my portable lap desk. Now, I'm in my family room with the ethernet plugged into a TP link in a nearby wall socket and connected to my Acer Chromebook 15, and I used this connection to place an order to Amazon for to use this with my Android Tablet.

Rock solid WiFi
I have been running this for several weeks in a Windows 11 PC. It includes bluetooth. I did have to install the included drivers before it would work. It has provided a rock solid wireless connection.

Good basic adapter
I use this with usb-c laptop docks (instead of the built-in ethernet that is terrible) -- works great. Since drivers are built into windows, I have used this to get online to download network drivers on various PCs. Works great on my Nintendo Switch as well.

Not useful for those who need internet.
I bought this because my onboard NIC wasn't responding after my computer crashed. Turns out by the time I got this thing, I figured out there was some factory default setting in the BIOS I needed to change to make it work. Well, today I had to unplug my computer (yes, I need a cr2032 badly... just keep forgetting to buy one) and the settings go back to what they were. Well, rather than try to figure out what's wrong again, I just whip this bad boy out of the package it came in and plug it in. Operates perfectly for about 10 minutes, then craps out. Next thing you know my computer is telling me that the USB device I plugged in is having issues. I figure it might be the USB port, so i plug it into another... another, another, another... nope. Every single device I have plugged in is working on every USB port except this one. I don't remember what I paid for it, but it was that value too much. Brand new right out of the package it can't even work for an hour? Wow.

Excellent little unit
Excellent little unit, used this on Raspberry Pi, Intel NUC (extra network port) and MS Surface Tablet. I've foudn this to work very well, whilst not able to fully utilise the 1Gbs maximum bandwidth of a gigabit network port (best I've seen is around 450 Mbps) this is still far better than what using either the internal network port can deliver on the Raspberry Pi or what Wi-Fi can delivery on the Surface or NUC.I have not required drivers for any of the above units, the drivers are bundled with Raspbian & self install on both NUC and Surface. I've pruchased around 40 of these units over last year and not had a single failure, whilst the build quality is very good, they have proven durable in day to day use.Excellent value for money whether required for a hard wired Ethernet link on a table or laptop lacking an RJ45, as an extra network port, or to improve network throughput on a Raspberry PI.Strongly recommended.

Not working with Windows 8.1
Not working with Windows 8.1 . The driver is no longer compatible to the OS and no one is interested in fixing it . Neither TRENDnet nor ASIX . TRENDnet has a very bad support they have customer support executives who has no technical knowledge on their products but just work like answering machines

Porta Eternet 1 Gbit/s
