... bath fan installation tape folded over like bias binding. It's shiny and silver and if you don't know it's there, you really can't tell. You could use any kind of reinforced tape but I had some of this and knew it would look good. A 2-minute fix and Bob's your uncle :-)Oh, and by the way - it's a beautiful bread bin, holds a TON of bread. I was afraid it would take up too much room on the counter top but it doesn't. Since the bread, buns, small tortillas and muffins are now safely penned in, I actually have more space. It's not air-tight so the bread doesn't sweat like it does in other containers.

This bread box holds a lot of items that I want hidden from the counters. I don't use it for bread, just to keep the counters (pantry) looking cleaner.

Looks great, works great, I was concerned with other reviews that said people sliced their hand on the inside, you would really have to be trying hard to do that. I suppose if it was super over stuffed and you were jamming your hand in there on the side to reach something in the back, but then you'd be smashing all the bread. I am not sure it necessarily helps the bread last longer, but it's nice to have the bread hidden away.

This is a great bread box. I had to replace one that broke and this one was way better. I was concerned about it arriving damaged based on several reviews but it was in perfect condition with no dents or scratches. I've had it about 3 weeks and I've found it easy to clean and roomy enough for 2.5 loaves of bread. The top is flat so I can set things on it securely. The door easily slides open and closed. I'm very happy with my purchase and would buy it again.

I liked this bread box. It looked great before it broke, just like the stock pics and holds a lot of bread, rolls, muffins etc. I gave it a three because it was very nice for the four years this sat on my counter and functioned well. The attached photos show the lopsided door after one side broke. The button hinges are tiny and due to the size of the door or the way it is put together the door plates pull tightly on the tiny little button hinges so after owning this for 4 years one side broke. I popped the metal plate back onto the little button hinge but the plate kept coming off. I tried popping the door back on twice before the button hinge fell off the side of the box completely so there is nothing there to attach it to now. I suppose I could try to get someone to solder a new little hinge on it but I'm looking for something with a better or larger hinge that will hold up longer. It seems that a stainless steel product should last longer with normal use. We are not hard on our stuff.

Arrived with no dents and sets nice and flat, sliding door is smooth. Very nice way for us to keep bread, tortillas, and crackers from cluttering the counter. It's a squeeze with 2 full size loaves- because if you press them too far in the door catches them and you end up with slightly squished baked goods. But I love it and it keeps the bread handy and counter tops neat.

Recieved this breadbox today and really like it! It's large enough to hold a ton of items, more than I expected. The reason for the 4 stars is because of the two scratches along the front of the item. They are very apparent and appear white on the finish. I am not a perfectionist by any means but was a bit disappointed with that. Otherwise, excellent!

I was a little disappointed. There were a few scratches when it arrived and it’s not finger print resistant. It seems cheaper quality for the price. It looks great though and holds a loaf of bread plus 4 bags of tortillas. It does have sharp edges inside (like a knife) but I can’t see anyone easily coming in contact with the sharp edges as they are at the sides. This was my original review. I’m adding that it broke off at the rivet. It’s not fixable and I have to throw it out after only a few months.

Looks really nice and wife liked it as a gift. Only getting 4 stars as it was slightly damaged in the rear. Not bad enough to return.

Very nice Bread Box...very roomy. I have had two other bread boxes and this one had the most room to store a loaf of bread, a six-pack of bagels, 1 package of soft tortillas and a few buns. By far the best in terms of room. It sits on my granite countertop and reflects so beautifully off the surface. I'm very satisfied with this purchase, and would definitely recommend it.

Quality not up to par for anchor Hocking product. It is easily dented (came with a dent in the front) very flimsy and looks somewhat unfinished. The hinges look very easy to break. Also, had to wait over three weeks to receive the bread box. 1 pack of bagels and 1 loaf bread and it's pretty much full. I was going to send back but I hate returning things so it's in use. The price should be more around 39.99 Canadian, not 70+. The product was supposed to arrive in couple days, ee3eeé
