‘Marriage ceremonies were generally absent in the ancient world’ – Fun and odd facts!
New author Jordan Moore steps onto the Trivia stage with a nod to providing interesting reading material while passing the time at home, In this easy to read (and absorb) book, Jordan offers a cascade of facts that provide not only entertainment but also so educational topics!Providing an overview of the topics of interest in this book, Jordan outlines his content in the Introduction – ‘As the title indicates, this book takes you on a fun-filled odyssey through just about every nook and cranny of this planet, and far beyond, to bring you 1,572 factoids that will make you scratch your head and give you some fodder to impress your friends and family at your next gathering…Maybe you’ve wondered how some seemingly unmedical things, such as alligator dung, became medical prescriptions. Or perhaps you’ve wondered how marriage became the institution it is today. And maybe you’ve considered how crypto currency began, or how it works…’ And if that tasty intro doesn’t convince you to explore this fascinating book, add in facts about pop culture, sports facts about athletes, strange hobbies, meteorological facts, and even a few facts about weapons of warNot only is the book entertaining – it is also very instructive. Jordan presents his facts in categories, each fact is short in length and offers a check box to let you know you’ve absorbed that one, and moves along at a pace that is entirely up to each reader. This Book Is Loaded With All Sorts Of Gee Whiz Information
Light reading to be sure as each fact is only a sentence or two long, but wow, this book has something for everyone with a plethora of subjects and information about each.Easy read, sure to send your friends to their phones so they can Google for more information. Some facts seem a bit odd, some a bit too far fetched to be true and some that are a bit weird. There are a few that would come across as 'off color' for groups with youngsters. I found it odd that they included some of those and never warned anyone in their advertisement.Still a fun reader. You can amaze and astound your family and friends with this gee whiz information. A 5 star book that gets a slight demotion for the NSFW material.

Eh
I love this book, my 12 year old is a huge nerd full of random facts so I thought this was perfect for him…only there are a few Inappropriate facts in there..not enough to where he doesn’t still have the book but enough that he came to show me. Luckily he’s pretty mature so no biggie. MANY awesome random facts in here!

Not for kids
I bought this for my 7 yo daughter because she loves learning facts… thank goodness I looked through it before giving it to her. The cover insinuates it’s a kids book IMO.

Not FOR KIDS!!!! Do not let your child read this book!!!!
This book is falsely advertised to seem as a children’s facts book. I am totally dumbfounded why the need for facts about heroine, cocaine and genocide including serial killer mentions are in this book!! I have an 11 year old son who has an inquisitive mind asking me questions on what this all meant. One I was never prepared for that and 2 who the hell puts facts like that in a KIDS BOOK?!!! I’d advise a re run through targeted audiences and a warning label on why is included in the content!!!

Poor Quality, Boring Layout.
I bought this for an 11 year old, but it isnt what I was expecting. Better for an adult. The book is flimsy and poorly made. The cover is curling and dog eared and all I've done is get it out of the box and have a skim through. The lay out is boring. No colour, no variation to the format throughout, although there are chapters. Just lots and lots of bullet points.Proofreading hasn't been up to scratch as I found a basic error within 5 minutes. The content isn't really suitable for children with references to drugs, urban myths and crimes. It is America-centric, so there are cultural references about old TV shows not broadcast in the UK, crimes famous the other side of the pond, plus the usual about elementary school, jocks etc. That's not a problem, just something to be aware of.I thought it might be a nice alternative to Ripley's Believe It Or Not for my youngest child, but no, I'll probably have a read then pass it to my dad instead.

not for kids
I was disappointed with this book. I bought it for a nine-year-old who would love that kind of thing but it has 'facts' in it that are not appropriate for children even though it was sold as being suitable.
