Seller Statememt: Durable Material: The kitchen storage shleves is made of brown wood with clear natural wood texture and black solid metal. The coating on the wooden shelves gives it excellent waterproof performance and make its surface smoother. The metal frame is strong enough and more durable in daily use.Reality: it is MDF chipwood glued board with wood lamination finish!It smells funky after opening. It is due to MDF chipwood stuff is made by chemicals and glued together...However, it is sturdy for first sight. I will give it a try. The.metal looks like cast iron sort of. It will probably be sturdy for some time, until the holes with screws, in chipwood, get loose....

Pre-drilled holes on the bases are too small to insert the screws provided. Splintered the wood in the process. Not worth it
