Randy Rhoads - Reflections of a Guitar Icon [Blu-ray]

Finally the story of Randy Rhoads.
I've read some reviews, and even some of them are very poor due to the fact that there is no music or footage from Ozzy years, first i have to say that is the best thing to really know who Randy really was, but for those of you disappointed, you have to know that is thanks to Ms Sharon and Mr Ozzy the ones who did not want to be involved in this doc, I think that says a lot. Anyway back to the film some people say that is really bad footage, but my take is waoo it's amazing that exists so much footaage left out from the claws of the Osbourne's, so much pictures , footage and people alive of this amazing time, people don't realize that this band didn't make it in the Randy's years it was in the 80's when people knew about Quiet Riot, the first Randy's band. So for a local band in the 70's it's amazing not that some pictures and footage exist if not that someone took the job to collect ll of it and do something out of nothing , thing that of course would have been a three hour masterpiece if the Osbourne's shared what they have. My total appreciation for what it seems to me an amazing job and an honest tribute to a wonderful human being.

In Randy we trust.
This is a film that anybody who is a fan of Ozzy will likely want to see.The film is super heavy on the Quiet Riot years - contributions and recollections of Randy from the pre Ozzy is contributed via archival and contemporary interviews. This actually all serves as an interesting look at Quiet Riot with Randy as the focal point. The Ozzy years is dipped into via archival interviews only - no music from Blizzard or Diary is in the film, unfortunately. This part, likely the better known to the casual viewer is better watched on YT - the shows, footage, interviews with producers etcWe have to be grateful for what we are given here, it's a valiant and worthwhile watch as is.Ultimately I enjoyed the doc and came away wishing we had more footage of watching Randy playing especially the Ozzy years. But there in is the beauty of Randy Rhoads - what would he have done musically??It would have been something to behold. What is for sure is that he was much loved by all who knew him and the music and talent he had will be felt by many fans for generations to come.Good doc.Viva Randy Rhoads.

Decent overview
This is a great story of a life cut tragically short. Lots of great footage from Quiet Riot days, but quite short on the Ozzy years. Worth a watch for fans of the genre.

Legend
A man way ahead of he's time and as good as anyone else about in that Era, taken away too soon but his short career will live on for many years to come. R.I.P Randy you inspired many to become what they are today.

waste of time !!
do not buy this. its all talk by ex band members and friends. on the very few clips of randy playing the film cuts away to someone trying to describe what youre trying to watch. very irritating !

Rhoads
