It says it's 6 foot. Does that mean it can measure a tree with a 6' diameter? Or is the tape 6' long and can only measure a tree about 2' diameter

Would like to know exact outside dimensions of the tape measure

Not sure I threw it away and went back to the Stanley 3’ version. It was aggravating to use because the keys kept pulling out the tape unlike the Stanley that comes with a key connection elsewhere on the body of the tape. Both are about 2” around.
