Fossil Women's Parker Leather Convertible Backpack Purse Handbag for Women

Review of " Fossil Women's Parker Leather Mini Backpack Purse Handbag" Color Brown.I've been using this purse daily now for 6 weeks. It's fitting all my needs and is the perfect size for an every day purse. By itself, it's not too heavy. Some leather purses can be very heavy, but not this one. It's a bit stiff when you first use it, but mine is starting to soften up and not be so brick like (as I read in other reviews). I know it will keep it's structure, though, and not become like a soft hobo bag. The back slide pocket fits my iphone 14, with case and with pop socket. Yes, it's a little difficult to get in and out, but that's not a big deal. I would suggest for the designers to make it a little bigger. I bought this purse to only use as a backpack, not a cross body. But it's nice to have the option. The inside of the purse has a nice brass ring on both sides, just under the zipper on the inside. These are for changing the strap to a cross body. I use these to hang my keys on with a clip! I have two sets of keys (one set for my car, one for husband's car) and each one has a clip on it. So they both hang on those two inside rings. LOVE this. The front flap pocket is great for a few small essentials like tissues, a pen, and chapstick. It does fit my phone by itself (see above for phone details), but I do not like anything in a magnetic pocket that is valuable. I may not feel someone stealing from it. That's why I like the phone in that back pocket where it's against my back. If I could change something, I'd make that magnet easier to use on that front pocket. It's difficult to close. No biggie overall, but it's a small design flaw. The straps are perfectly comfortable. I'm 5'3" and a pretty small person, so this is the biggest I can go with a bag without looking like a child carrying her Mama's purse, LOL. It's perfect for me. Plenty of room inside for all my essentials as well. Small wallet, small zippered pouch for essentials, glasses case for regular glasses, my sunglasses, 2 sets of keys, a few things in the inside pockets. Then there is room for the times I need to throw something extra in there, like a water bottle, a scarf, my husbands wallet and phone, that sort of thing. I love the top handle. I do sometimes need to carry it by that handle and it's easy and elegant. I plan to use this for years to come!Notes for the designer:1 - Magnet on front pocket is hard to close, would like it bigger and stronger.2 - Back pocket is a bit tight. Would like it roomier to reach into with fingers (and I have tiny fingers!)3 - Some metal feet on the bottom would be really nice, especially for such an expensive leather bag.

Is it buttery soft? No. Hopefully it will soften with time. Is it everything I wanted in a backpack/purse and more. YES! It’s perfect. I got the small in brown on a good sale (less than $100). And I’m so glad I finally took a chance on this purse. I didn’t think I would like it, but I was wrong. I love the amount of space in the main compartment. I adore the back pocket with a zipper for my phone. Just above that there is another little pocket. This second little pocket on the back and the front pocket (the one with the magnet) don’t have a whole lot of space. But since I just keep things like hand sanitizers (some single serve ones), lactaid pills, and bandages … the lack of space isn’t a big deal. Inside the main compartment you can fit sunglasses in a case, car keys, a wallet, and maybe a small hand cream. My small fossil wallet fits perfectly inside the inner zipped pocket. I like the distribution. I like how it feels on my back. It actually feels lighter than another fossil backpack/purse I have from years ago. I’m also thankful that it came beyond carefully packaged. I’m pleasantly surprised. So happy with this purchase.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect convertible backpack-purse. While this one has some flaws, it’s one of the best I’ve found so far. Ideally, I wanted a backpack that can truly convert to a handbag. Size was perfect for me, but be aware, this bag is the smaller version. Only about 9x9 overall.Pros: Leather colors are beautiful and you can’t go wrong with any of them.-Side zip pocket, fits an iPhone 14 Pro/Plus with no issues. Additionally, I would considered this a security pocket, it’s along the back of the bag, and would be a plus for traveling.- Straps easily clip in and out for backpack mode.- Zippers are all good quality, which I expect from a Fossil product.Cons:- Front pocket is a magnet. My only hesitation buying this product was that the front pocket did not have a zipper. If the bag flips upside down, items can easily fall out of this pocket. The magnet is also not overly strong and has to be snapped in place to secure.- Bag needs a second handle added on top. If using the bag as a purse, while the handle works fine, it’s located on one side of the bag, once you add weight inside of the bag, it puts stress on only one side of the handle. Overtime, I’m not sure how the handle would hold up.

Great bad for every day carry. Cute and functional.

Please give me a like of this is helpful...I have a history buying fossil brand purses. There are a few things to note:This specific purse is more like a light vinyl material, than the heavy leather that I'm accustomed to with a fossil brand purse. I actually like this better because it is lighter to carry than a traditional leather.The back straps on this purse are stiff. It's not as easy to just sling on to your arms using the back pack option, so I find myself carrying it more than wearing it. It would have been nice to have the straps a more traditional leather material. As it is they really are the worst feature.I purchased this purse for $100 on sale. I wouldn't have paid the full price because of the quality of the straps/leather.Neither of those things were a deal breaker for me at that $100 price point because the purse has a nice look to it and the size and Pocket placement are perfect for my needs.My Samsung Galaxy fits perfect in the back slot and is easily accessible. I like the side zipper to keep my keys secured in.

Got this bag for my daughter. She loves it. She likes that it can be worn in multiple ways and the color is very nice.

Absolutely LOVE this purse. Well made, roomy, comfortable. My favorite purse, will use it till it falls apart. lol

What I don’t love is the price fluctuations. Was $235 to $120 and then as recent $98.. would be nice if Amazon would refund the difference when bought within the month rather than having to return and buy again.The bag is amazing, good size and quality

i loved it, it was exactly what i was looking for - until today, barely two months after i bought the bag, the Zipper broke beyond repair! I never put heavy load in the bag, only small stuff.The bag is unuseable without the zipper, so that’s my money down the drain!

First of all, the pattern and colours of this backpack are beautiful. The design, being able to use it as both a crossbody purse and a backpack is nice, but a bit lacking. When you wear it as a backpack the strap just pulls through so it hangs awkwardly. I purchased a shoulder pad strap attachment and placed that on the middle of the strap, so now it works as it should - it seems like something Fossil should have included in the design of the purse. I have been wanting this particular purse backpack for awhile, and when it was on sale I snapped it up quickly. But when I unpacked it I was surprised at how thin the material was and how narrow the straps are - for the price that these regularly sell for I expected better. I have a lot of vintage Fossil purses, and this just doesn't meet the quality construction and design of the older ones.
