We needed two bags, so I purchased both version of this bag, and a few competitors to compare. I think this is the only backpack that seems exactly designed to meet Spirit/Frontier dimensions. The advertised 18x 14x 8 dimensions are almost spot on except the width is probably closer to 13 inch.Cons:Despite being externally efficient at matching Spirit's size restrictions, it is not internally efficient. The much smaller rangeland 21L actually holds more clothes without going over restrictions. The issue is depth. there's so many dividers and the padding in the dividers is too thick. It eats up space and even in un-extended mode it is too easy to overstuff the bag over the 8" maximum. I think I've come to realize you actually want the external dimensions of the bag to be smaller than the max, so that way the act of closing the bag compresses the contents, and the bag stretches to the max.Yes you can stuff the thing in the sizer, though there are stories out there of agents enforcing a "gravity rule". The bag has to be dropped, not pushed into the sizer. I thought the external strap clips would help compress, though those actually make things worse as they just cause your clothes to bulge out where the straps aren't. I think the purpose of the straps is to just make it so stuff doesn't bounce around when underfilled.I think the USB A port is gimmicky and should be removed. Not only are most phones now USB C:C for fast charging, though it's easier to just have your power bank with cord in a normal pocket.Pros:- Many competitors in a similar style open horizontally, this one opens from the top like a normal backpack.- Zippers are silky smooth, and the material punches above the price category. I love how there is no branding.- This one in unexpanded mode is ~8" thick. It turns into a super non-personal item size backpack with the expansion zipper opened . Others need expansion opened to get to 8". The advantage here is it allows this bag to put the handles in the center of the bag. With others in 8" mode the handles are awkwardly off center.Black vs Classic BlackThese two are more similar than they look in the pictures though a few things to note.- Obvious by the pictures, though on the rear the classic has two smaller pockets compared to the black which has a large one with organizer sleeve. I prefer the classic especially since the bag really doesn't have any other small exterior quick access pockets. The pocket design of the black would probably be a bit sleeker in briefcase mode though.- The black has the clips/straps over the larger outer pocket. I thought this would help compress the entire bag better than the classic, but again I don't recommend using the straps to compress as they just cause bulging.- In the main/large compartment the classic has a organizer sleeve stitched on the side of the bag further from your back. This is much better than the black which has the organizer stitched on the side closer to your back. It's hard to describe why, but when you have stuff in the main compartment, it easier to access the organizer when it's on the far side. The organizer is also slightly more elaborate on the the classic (likely because the black has an additional organizer in its large exterior pocket.- The black hook hanger is a bit narrower/sleeker than the classic (minor)Overall I am partial to the classic, but either are good options. We ended up keeping both.

I traveled all over SouthEast Asia for 6 weeks on this one backpack. It exceeded my expectations. It's solid and well made. I did notice that the front zipper was a bit flimsy and probably will tear/break down within a year or so. Overall, I'm happy with the bag, but zippers needs to be stronger.

Excellent size, i went to a Eurotrip, and this is the best backpack. period. still going strong.

I never like taking a suitcase anywhere and a small carry on is my go to. I can fit several days worth of clothes in this as well as a ton of toiletries and electronics.If you pack it right this little but mighty backpack is a dream for someone who isn’t a fan of bringing their entire closet with them.The charger port is also a plus. Well built, will use for years to come.

Nice and lightweight.Big enough for carry on only for couple days trip.Lot of pockets.Highly recommend

Good quality fabric. I love the back pocket for security and the strap downs to make it smaller. The only issue is that it is definitely not 14inches wide. It’s closer to 12.5. That a big difference when you’re packing for a trip. I had to leave behind my long John’s that were doubling as a second pair of pajamas.

Need to lower luggage strap and add outer pockets

Buscaba una mochila de tamaño exacto para el artículo personal en los aviones, y esta fue la mejor opción de las que había visto. Si bien, de ancho no tiene exactamente los 35 cm que dice, ya estando llena mochila sí llega a medir 35 cm. El resto de alto de 45cm y de profundo 20 cm son medidas correctas.El material se siente bien, parece que sí es impermeable, es un material un tanto plasticoso pero la buscaba así impermeable entonces está bien.No tiene compartimento lateral para una botella de agua pero no hay tanto problema. Lo único que le sentí un poco frágil fue uno de los 4 broches frontales, con jalarlo tantito se sale.Se expande casi 7 cm lo cual es bastante bueno para seguir metiendo cosas.Viene con cable usb incluido para conectar la powerbank y tiene un par de bolsas interiores que podrían ser útiles. Sin problemas puede caber una computadora de 17"

Ideale per viaggi brevi. Ha tutto quello che serve.

Lo utilizzo per Easyjet, come seconda valigia piccola, è della misura perfetta, dentro ci metto:1) Notebook2) Caricatore notebook + 2 alimentatori per telefono + cavetteria varia per telefoni.3) Ipad + caricatore e cavo4) 2 camicie + 2 cravatte5) Beauty Case per bagno (barba- doccia etc)6) ciabatte da docciaConsiderate che poi si può restringere ed utilizzare giornalmente come zaino da lavoro, perfetto.
