Affordable option for Snap-in Carpet on boats
Recently bought a 2006 232 rinker boat and it was in Dyer need of new carpet. We originally were researching marine deck and sea foam, but the 1000+ price plus install fee was a little salty... so we went to some hardware stores and eventually thought outside the box and went this method. We cut it using our existing snap in carpet as a temolate and We had it professionally lined with marine edging to finish the look. The guy also gave us snaps and this special mylar/plastic that is used for the camper tops and we cut them in thin strips to reinforce the snaps and waterproof it a little better. We are so happy with the result! Ended up costing us around $350 total for the project plus 5 hours of time to install ourselves.

Worth the money!!
This worked perfectly for our aluminum pool deck!! Cushy and easy to apply. One recommendation is to let it sit in the sun to heat up and get the creases out. Make sure you buy the right kind of glue and trowel to apply it with.

Excellent quality carpet, wrinkling is not a problem, 8 pages of instructions and hints.
Excellent quality carpet, packaged compactly, arrived 5 days earlier than expected.Upon rollout on my pontoon deck I only saw a few small wrinkles that smoothed out under the sun in a day. The size is perfect. The color of clear and uniform. Also, the instructions are well-written, detailed and often humorous. I highly recommend this product. My pup is very anxious to get back on the water!

Thick
This carpet is nice and thick. Just make sure you get the correct glue to hold it down or it will not dry. We made that mistake. This carpet has a rubber backing.

BEWARE, CREASES GALORE
Don't buy this product if you need 1 large flat piece, it comes rolled and then folded in half, the company says it saves them money on shipping, not sure how because the weight stays the same, yes the length is cut in half but the width doubles. I have had mine rolled out laying flat on a new pontoon deck, in a heated garage for 3 weeks and there are tons of creases and wrinkles, some are so bad glue will not take care of them. This carpet will be good for someone recarpeting a bass boat , or whatever can be done in pieces but not good for a 1 piece pontoon redecking project. I bought the carpet in preparations for my project and left the carpet in its delivery package for 3 weeks before i needed it. The company stated that I was supposed to unfold, unroll and then reroll it for storage, I double checked the posting, there was nothing like that stated anywhere that said to do that. I also didn't get the knife or extra blades and no instructions in the package. If I could've left a half star I would've, but 1 star is the lowest I could give. They wouldn't work on anything as far as a replacement piece, I didn't expect free but a discount on a new piece would've been nice, all of a sudden there was absolutely no return emails. I guess they were done with me. Bottom line be careful, sometimes cheaper isn't always better. Very dissatisfied customer.
