Has anyone used this on a Full latex mattress? Does it hold well for a heavy mattress?

Has anyone tried machine washing their cover? It says that you can machine wash it but I'm worried it'd get destroyed.

I bought 3 of these but the fit is not tight. All are about 2-3 inches bigger on width. Not good for transporting if not snug. Any suggestions?
