Beautiful design. Quality blade.
I bought this for a trip into the Bolivian Amazon this summer. My first jungolo arrived damaged with a bent tip and a faulty sheath. The sheath buckle snap was sewn with a twist and it was near impossible to buckle. Amazon sent me a replacement the next day without any issues. The replacement is very nice and even came oiled. Both are pictured. The jungolo is a beautiful blade. I wanted something a bit smaller to travel with but not as bulky as the pack golok knife I also purchased. This is a sleak beautiful machete. The handle is thin and would suit smaller hands but is just big enough for large hands like my own. I would agree with other users that it almost feels too smooth and I will probably wrap the hilt. You can see the golok handle in the photos has a much thicker handle than the jungolo. I would also note that the sheath on the jungolo is fairly functional after you wear it in a bit and stretch out the leather a little. The metal ring is a nice touch. The jungolo and the bolok are shown in photos for comparison. I will update later after some use in the field. Right now I am very happy with the jungolo quality

It’s perfect.
I use this machete at the compound all the time. For clearing bush, branches, wild animals, etc. the only shortfall I have is the handle and sheath. The handle has a loose section to the sheath, so it slides when on the move, and the handle itself is a bit slippery. I added some texture to mine. Works better now. The metal is okay, I just sharpen it after every use. I’d buy again.

Jungolo
Its a good sturdy knife and even without any physical hand stops the Jungolo stays in my medium sized hand very well. The blade came very sharp near the tip but was dull lower down. Still it got through honey suckle just fine. I accidentally hit a brick with it. There were no chips, just a slight fixable roll over. I hit a bunch of old hard wood against the grain to test its edge retention and I was very surprised. I know these are made of a somewhat softer metal on purpose so that the blade doesn't chip easily, but even with this, the edge stayed just as sharp as before my abuse. The snaps are pretty hard to snap into place with the knife in the sheath, I have to stretch the leather tabs hard, but I have a feeling they'll loosen up over time as I work the leather. Overall I think I payed a little to much money for it but its still a good tool. I will have to see how well it holds up over time. Side note- in the Box I received a paper that basically said. Look over your knife and inspect it, if something's wrong with your blade let us know and you can ship it back for a refund or a new one.

Big heavy woody plant type chopper.
Is as described. The sheath is black dyed leather. The lanyard ring is fine. One snap was a little tight at first. There is no finish on the knife. The wood is raw walnut but smooth. You can finish it if you want or just let it absorb sweat from your hand. The metal will rust if you don't prevent it but the original metal has a thin coating most likely meant to protect the metal somewhat. Where it was shaped there is no coating. The spine has an edge sharp enough to strike a fero rod. You might want to consider carrying a Bk-9 instead. It is smaller, weighs a lot less. The Condor is going to chop better because of blade length more mass.

That’s all the machete I need!
Great quality blade. Be careful not to let your hand slide down from the handle to the blade. The cut will be deep if you do, telling you from experience! Lol

This is a great chopper
As others have said, the QC could be better. The snaps on the sheath is very hard to snap on with knife in it, too short, maybe due to very dry air the leather shrank. Big scratch mark on the blade. Other than these, I love the product. It's built to last, for sure. This thing will out last me many times. I would recommend as a more of a semi heavy chopper. I would also get a tramotina 14" blade which is much lighter thin bladed machete.
