A work for the ages!
What's in this book will blow your mind and make you consider much of what you thought you knew about 20th century geopolitics and the Catholic Church. This book is one for the ages and sits alongside other world view changing books, like Tragedy & Hope, on my bookshelf.Would love if the author produced a hardcore of this work since it's a work of history that deserves a more permanent binding.

A must-have for understanding the history of the Western world after WW2.
Well researched, well documented and well written. It combines an extensive source and archive research with doctrinal commentary to understand the implications of the topic in hand.Recommended for anyone who wants to understand in depth the doctrinal changes that operated in the Western world after WW2 and especially after the Second Vatican Council in the Catholic Church.

Amazingly self referential and unaware
The Enlightenment and Americanism are bad in emphasizing protecting individual rights. Freedom of the press is bad because the ability to control private parties directly or indirectly through the government will come to shape values. The turn the arguments upside down and the kind if world view implied becomes clear. The mind of world pre-enlightenment enjoyed. Thank you but no

Poorly edited
The topic Wemhoff covers in these volumes is very important to understanding US hegemonic behavior in the world today. But it’s a real shame this book was so poorly edited. This misspellings, the missing words, the poor punctuation, etc., make the book a real challenge to read.
