Should have bought this one first!
I wish I had bought this first!. I recently bough a SW Shield, 9 mm, and the big attraction was how thin the gun was. I now own the following holsters:- A Bianchi holster - lots of leather but doesn't clip well and that concerns me. Definitely not for deep cover or summer carry. (Bad purchase)- A OUTBAGS LOB3S-SHIELD IWB holster. This is a better holster than the Bianchi for ease of use, etc. but it still adds bulk. (Undecided)- A StealthGear IWB holster; still waiting on receipt (Undecided)- A DESANTIS N38 The Nemesis Pocket Holster: this is nice as long as you have pockets big enough. Very comfortable and inexpensive (Good buy).- A MIC HolsterOf the holsters received only one can cause my son to have no idea where the gun is on my person - the MIC holster. It doesn't add bulk and it carries the gun securely. It also doubles as a basic trigger guard and that is great. My son, who is 11, could not figure out how to get the guard/ holster off the gun. I am not set to buy one for my Glock 19 and found a copy-cat who has one for my SW J-Frame. Again, if I could start again I would buy this first and then see what else is needed after a few weeks.MY ONLY COMPLAINT: When putting the holster on your magazine can be ejected from the gun. This happens right now but it may be getting used to using it. Checking out their YouTube video on proper use to make sure I am doing it correctly.

Nearly perfect concept but the use of Kydex makes it dangerously difficult to draw safely.
Too much retention. I have seen a very similar model made of woven carbon fiber which provided a perfect amount of retention while being much easier to draw from and more durable (kydex can be pretty brittle). Unfortunately, I looked everywhere and the MIC holster is the only one available for the S&W Shield.I love the concept and bought it for the shield that I also bought for my mother as a way of holstering her pistol in her purse. Purpose built purses are usually several hundred dollars and she didn't like the limited styles available while a traditional holster made it very time-consuming for her to draw. This concept would solve all her problems by allowing her to tether it to the purse so it would detach on the draw as well as IWB carry when she was able to do so.I've had to work at loosening it up for her and it still serves it's purpose fairly well but requires A LOT of force to draw. Since you have to literally tug at it to get it to draw, your forced to yank the pistol away from your body and forward which is DEFINITELY NOT advised in a situation where you'd actually need your gun and makes it very easy for it to be seized.Luckily owners of this holster will likely never need to draw quickly in a self-defense situation because while the concept is amazing, the use of kydex really makes a lot of downsides in a realistic situation.

I Love my MIC holster
I Love my MIC holster...this thing fits like a glove. I have boxes of holsters like many other people..after finding out and trying the MIC holster on my Smith Airweight 642, i was blown away with how great these holsters are. Also being a CCW instructor, the MIC holster is 100% legal in my state. I can not say enough about this holster. I just picked up the new Smith Shield ported 40 cal, this pistol being so thin and light already putting the MIC holster on the Shield makes it so comfortable. The next big question everyone wants to know about is Printing ...well have to be honest. ...and again ZERO. Im 6'3 235 with jeans and tshit (my normal) this is the greatest holster EVER and yes i do mean EVER. Applause for real to MIC holsters. I Now recommend these to all my students.Cons....for me ZERO this holster rocks.

I am unsure if I like this product or not...
I received this as a gift from my husband. So far I am unsure if I like this product or not. It is definitely form fitting and very snug. Since it fits very snugly, you have to pull on it really hard to get it off. I was hoping to be able to use this in my purse but I don't think that would be possible with out ripping a hole in it while trying to pull it out. I think this is meant to be used in your pocket, but a Shield would never fit in any of my pockets and really with as hard as you have to pull I could only imagine that you would rip off a belt loop or would end up fumbling with it and looking stupid if you ever actually needed to draw your weapon. I am not sure if this would ever loosen up, but for now it looks cool, but I don't think for me that it is practical.

Great option for CC
If you're looking for this kind of holster, it is perfect, but it might just not be right for you. Mine came quickly and was a perfect fit. A lovely, attractive, travel-ready holster that resists printing. If you're on the fence, consider one of the things I find attractive about this holster: I appendix carry, and other holsters have a tendency to make sitting down rather uncomfortable. This holster, however, reduces the bulk of what is normally jamming into my gut and thigh when sitting, as well as gives me freedom to shift the barrel over a smidge toward my crotch, relieving the pressure completely. For what it's worth.

Excellent for conceal carry, slimmest option out there.
I'm loving this holster for conceal carry. I use it mostly when I wear suits and don't want the slightly bulkier Uncle Mikes that I own. There really isn't an option out there that is slimmer and more concealing than this. The main downside for me is that I don't like to wear it when I'm going to be outside for extended periods because I tend to sweat on the gun. I usually prefer a layer of protection between me and the gun on hot days. Overall, this is a great buy.

Great saety holster for EDC IWB carry
This MIC works really well. Fits firmly and snaps off with just enough force required to make the system safe for IWB carry without a safety or holster. well formed, obviously fitted to each make and model they are made for. These devices are the safest way to carry a firearm.SAFETY REMINDER!!!When holstering or snapping on a MIC, always point a loaded firearm away and down in a safe direction where you know if the gun went off no one would be in the line of fire.
