We love the fireplace door very much It took this old colonial house and upgraded the breakfast room as I had hoped. We bought a screen for the wood burning fireplace in the living room which is wonderful but this one is the bestEasy to install and fits tight. Might have to replace the l/r screen

Well it was time to replace the old "20 year old" brass and glass fireplace doors on my brick fireplace. I looked around at several other doors but liked the style of the pleasant hearth Fenwick. The oil rubbed bronze is a little darker than the picture indicates although after looking at the posted picture you can clearly see a bright light shining on the top of the door. Either way, it looks great. Magnetic doors are strong and the unit feels very sturdy. Installation was very easy (a lot easier to install than my old brass door where lag bolts were used). This unit actually clamps to the top of the fireplace box with special hardware and uses thumb screws for the sides making it very sturdy. Instructions were very clear and it took about 45 minutes from start to finish (removing old door, unpacking new, etc). I could not find any cons about this product. To date, we had about twelve fires with no issues. The glass is clear, no discoloration or drafts. One other plus was the MADE IN USA logo on the box. That would explain the good quality and easy to follow instructions which is seldom seen these days. One person wrote about a sticker on his new glass door stating not to close the doors during a fire. The glass is tempered and can withstand a lot of heat, but like everything else these days, companies need to cover their butts since they don't know what people will do. Overall a great product, highly recomended.
