Quincy, M.E.: Season 3

One of the great TV crime drama's of the 70's that's "clean", very engaging and easy to follow. For young and old. Our teenage child loved watching Quincy. Most of the subject matter is timeless, and the performance by Jack Klugman very engaging. Even the smallest detail at the beginning of the show will set him off on a journey to reveal a crime committed, and restore justice. Sam is his faithful helper and supporter. And what is it about his boss, Dr Aston, who's always nipping at Quincy's heels to stop wasting time on weak evidence and just close the case ...every episode! When will he (Or Sgt Moynahan) ever learn to trust Quincy's instincts??! LOL. Probably never. But they have to have to be there to offer tension and back and forth to further the storyline. If you were around back in the day, its a time capsule: phone booths, rotary phones and maps. And the Supper Club atmosphere ...fashions, and cars of the era back then. Plus some of the issues that were big issues at the time. Ever notice how thin people were back then? For younger viewers, like my teen child, there's no gratutious sex, gore, minimal violence or swearing. The beauty of the DVD's is you don't have to sit through gobs of pharmaceutical commercials for problems you didn't know existed, and adds for creams, pain relief and miracle vitamins for old people!! LOL. And can watch if the network bogs down. It's fun.

This series is about a county medical examiner who investigates clues for what appear to be normal deaths. I watched this series long ago and I'm thrilled to add the seasons to my collection. It's clean, wholesome TV at it's finest. No sex, violence or gore. Just good honest, hardworking professional people who don't always take what looks to be something it's not. The actors are great and portray their roles in perfect harmony especially Sam and of course Quincy who at times butt heads but in the end we all learn not to trust our first instincts in every situation.

Quincy ROCKS! He's one of the reasons I am a biologist, and I'll bet he's the reason hundreds or maybe even thousands of coroners and forensic pathologists (wish I'd had the drive to become THAT!) . This is a show beloved by hundreds of thousands, Universal, perhaps even millions, considering it was during the days of Limited Broadcast TV Choice. PLUS, the show's demographic is in the 35-60 year old range. You know, Universal, the folks with the $$$$$$$$$$$. Wake up and be smart businesspeople. Put the rest of the Quincy ME seasons out. Yes, even the last one (how many seasons did Quince run - six?) , which was a bit korny...I STILL want to see it again, even if only to chuckle...

Like everyone else I have waited years for the 3rd and consequent seasons of Quincy M.E. to be released, but to our dismay they haven't been. Not all of the fans of this show are elderly. I'm only 24 but became a fan of the show years ago when A&E aired re-runs of it. I was very excited to find it on DVD but 13 or so episodes is only a taste of this great series. Please release more, or sell the series to a company that will!

its about time they finaly brought back quincy this came out around same time bewitched came out and they are down to there final season..i dont get why companys dont start what they finish..UM disney get the hint.. i hope they continue this until they finish it.. quincy was the man the real crime scene investigator..this show never gorws old it was no wonder it was on for 8 years this show ended around same time mash did another great show..i hope we no longer have to worry about this show being delayed ever again and that mca universal finishes what they started ...go quincy..you the man

We are really enjoying this series. It's about a medical examiner who is passionate about his work and never follows protocol. He's always butting heads with his boss and the local police officer, both of whom are classic beaurocrats. The fireworks between the characters makes every episode entertaining.

I was thrilled (an understaement) when Quincy season 3 was realeased on dvd. Quality from packaging to sound etc is excellent cpnsidering the surprising age of the series (i'm 36 and can remember watching it as a child) jack Klugman is pretty special as Quincy alwways locking horns with LT monahan and his boss Aston. Some fantastic eps.This season Quincy goes aboard a hijacked plane to stop an epidemic among other things. Always searching for justice and the truth.

Love the Quincy Series. Was pleased to find this season, great selection, great prices and fast fast fast delivery.

Just starting to watch seaon 3 and looking forward to the arrival of 4 and 5. I was watching an episode and while they were trying to breakdown a sample , I kept thinking what they wouldnt have given for Hodgens mass spectrometer.. simple effective delightful if you heve never seen Quincy and if you love Murdock Mysteries the give this a try you won't be diappointed.
