Great book for my Son!
Awesome spider book. Purchased a few different spider books but this one is my sons favorite! Great information and the pictures are good! I wanted to get a book that had real pictures of spiders instead of a cartoon one. This actually has both and we love it! Would recommend!

Got me hooked!
Spiders are not usually my favorite and I just bought this book for some students who were interested in them… but this book quickly became one of my favorites! Very engaging and informative! I really enjoyed learning about all the unique differences that spiders have and it made me appreciate them a lot more. My students also loved it and it was hard for me to get it back from them so I could finish it. Highly recommend!

A perfect gift for spider-squeamish kids.
Do spiders make your kids squirm? This book will help tamp down the fear. Annette Whipple explains spider anatomy and biology, like how they make silk and build those complicated webs. She answers questions a creeped-out kid might wonder about, like why are spiders so hairy? Whipple also explores the question of danger; why we need to understand that spiders can bite, but we don't need to fear them. The text is a fun read with fabulous macro photos. I highly recommend this book.

Beautiful and informative!
This review is for the hardcover spiders book:The colors are vibrant and attractive. There is a nice mix of photos and drawings within. Great factoids. Perfect for my 6 year old daughter - a fellow spooky season lover. Obviously I will do the reading for now, but she will be entranced by the images. The book is a decently large size but still fits into our bookshelves without an issue (don't you hate those oversized books that won't fit too?)I remember books like this from when I was a child - and I would go back to them over and over again as I absorbed all of the details.
