Five star, but I have a few concerns.
Five star, but I have a few concerns. It comes down to a QUESTION of what do you want in a flashlight? Do you want something that you can grab immediately to get some LIGHT or do you want something that you will CHERISH, because it's fun to PLAY WITH?Actually I totally love this flashlight, I was too cheap to buy the titanium flashlight for $220.00, but I wanted a flashlight that had all the features, and I got my money's worth for $39.00 with coupon.First off, the buttons are high grade, but entirely too small. This makes the flashlight hard to operate. Below I talk about the 5 click lockout button. I spent the better part of 10 minutes trying to get something to light up on it. I truly believed it was defective. I read and reread the very confusing owners manual, but to no avail when suddenly it sprang to life. I don't even know what I did. But it was that lockout feature. See below. The 5 click lockout button, is a feature that is designed to prevent the flashlight from accidentally turning on in your pocket or when carrying it. But these buttons don't accidentally turn on because they have a good solid click to them, and it means that you won't have access to light when you need it. I can't confirm 100% but it appears that the flashlight is still drawing current off of the battery if it's not locked out (because if requires a significant charge just by leaving it unattended overnight), so you will need to lock it off to save the battery. This ensures that you won't have light when you need it. Because the lockout feature requires patience and a precise even fast sequential even 5 press. And since the buttons are unlikely to turn on by accident they should do away with this feature or have a 5 second hold down lockout feature instead. But it does ensure the battery will never run down when stored for long periods of time.I particularly like the fact that the first click after you finally get the thing turned on, is the Moonlight mode by 1 fast click. You can press and hold the top button and this will be your brightest light as a momentary light but it takes a second to start up, when you release the button it's out. That's what I mean by momentary. And I really like the cycles of low, medium, high. Which is to double click the top button and pace through the modes. I like that arrangement because sometimes you don't want to get flooded with light if you're using it by the bedside. So you want to start out easy low, medium and high. Note, triple click is the strobe feature. All of these clicks, features and time out modes could be better Suited, if they just had it ramp up and ramp down in brightness. Let go of the button when you're at the right brightness for your need.Mine is the Warm White, and it's okay but if it was any whiter I wouldn't want it.This flashlight, is not designed to destroy it'self with overheated circuits, so on the brightest setting it's not as bright as you might expect these days for an LED flashlight. However, you really don't want something that is going to light up your home like a football stadium, because you'll have retina burn. With this flashlight it's not going to kill the eyes. And as careful as you might be, sooner or later you're going to look at it. This flashlight is safe. And the battery life is really good, ignore their crazy charts. I'm here to tell you that they don't know what they're talking about. The lithium ion battery lasts a very long time and so far I can't even run it down. And the AAA battery they say, wasn't tested, last longer, last shorter. They don't have a clue how long it last. Neither do I but I haven't been able to run it down either. Both batteries seem to last forever even if there is a residual power drain when not locked off. But again it's not the brightest torch in town. Now about the side lights. It's merry Christmas. You'll have a lot of fun playing with all the features and mine is a Warm White for reading a book in the night. But you'll never be able to read their instruction manual night or day, and it's not the flashlights fault. Their manual is ridiculously confusing and they don't even use the right words. Quite simply, some of the words are just picked out of a hat somewhere. Bizarre. Conclusion, I absolutely love this plastic Wonder. No cracks yet, fingers crossed. I know people have complained about cracks in the plastic. I don't think that's going to happen, but it's pretty thin and so you don't want to drop it, and personally carrying it on a key ring might damage it. But I love it as a play toy, and it has a nice beam too. Not spot, not flood. The beam is a 3-ft circle (from 5 ft away) with a frosty Edge, color perfect, no leakage of color. It's just what you would expect for a Perfect Warm White pen light flashlight with beautiful light that you could never get from any incandescent bulb and it's a bit brighter then the pen light flashlights you bought in 1968.

My Night-Time Companion
This is a great flashlight….it looks good; is lightweight; fits comfortably in a hand and being so small, takes up little space. It functions well and is invaluable for my nocturnal bathroom visits (using the moonglow function). My old flashlight was completely undependable, not knowing whether the button batteries would make a good-enough contact to make the light work. My only negative is - I bought this flashlight with its glow-in-the-dark feature to help me easily locate it in a dark bedroom but the glow is so distracting on my bedside table that I have to put it into a small pouch so I can sleep. I love the fact that I can use an ordinary battery if needed rather than solely depending upon a recharge. I also love the brightness intensity and strobe feature if ever needed. This flashlight makes my life a lot easier and I highly recommend it to anyone wondering whether it’s worth the money.

Tons of Functionality, Made of Plastic
TL;DR - If they made this exact flashlight in metal and shatter-proof acrylic I would buy 5 immediately.> Rechargeable (check)> 2nd power source, normal AAA battery (check) <-- really nice> Bright, multiple light levels (check)> Ambient side light, 2 levels (check)> UV side light (check)> already cracked in 2 places plastic shell (unfortunately check)

Absolutely the best flashlight I’ve ever owned
I love this little thing. I first heard about RovyVon on the Jon Gadget YouTube channel and bought one for a trip. It’s absolutely great. The built-in battery lasts forever, and the AAA backup gives piece of mind. I love the low-wattage “lantern” setting—I put a magnet clip on the end and use it to give my kids a nightlight when camping or in a strange hotel room. I also love how powerful it is when it needs to be—this thing can really throw light when it needs to.About the only complaint I have is that it’s a little complex to use. Kind of to be expected when it has about ten different modes and only two buttons, but it bears mentioning. Once you’re used to it it’s fine, but you can’t really hand it to a newbie and expect them to know how to access all the settings.Overall it’s a great EDC addition to any pocket, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Best so far!
This is the best and smallest flashlight I have ever owned.Yes, I do use a rechargeable AAA along side the internal. It will last you much longer battery wise.I do not use the keychain bit, took that off immediately. The brightness is FANTASTIC.The different settings are GREAT.The ease of use, WONDERFUL.The way that it fits in that little pocket that is often called a 'watch pocket' - WOW.This is a great gift, a great find, and a great light. Great camping light, but...
I found this light on a search for a great keychain light, for EDC. I love all the features so far, great light bright. The red led great for camping and dark when dont want to loose night vision. There is a AAA battery back up which is great if loose charge. Great light, BUT... Be advised it does not come with charger. When asked company, said can use any usb-c. This was disappointing when figure the price. Other than that love it.

More compact than I thought!
This has many great features! It is very compact. And VERY bright!Having separate buttons for the main lights and the side lights is smart. The ability to use the built-in rechargeable battery OR a AAA battery is great!Being able to chose one or the other is a bonus!Using the built-in battery is even brighter! It seems to last a long time! But I like to keep it charged.

Best purchase ever.
I'm always looking for stuff... under the couch, cabinets, in the back of cupboards, down in the engine bay of the car! Reviews for this little flashlight kept popping up on social media when I started looking for a small flashlight and All the reviews were 5 stars and spot on. The flashlight is small - barely larger than 2 AAA batteries placed side by side. You get 4 brightness options and the brightest setting I can't use indoors because it is way too bright. The add on side lights are perfect for a nightlight or general lighting and the case stays glowing all night, making the flashlight super easy to find in the middle of the night. I got the UV light option on mine and that is the only drawback with this flashlight. The manufacturer doesn't speak much of this option in their advertising and literature because it doesn't work as a true UV does. It's sole function seems to be to make the flashlight case glow brighter.I would definitely recommend this light and will be buying another... just not the UV version.

Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert.

Small. Handy. Functional
I love the idea that it works with BOTH an internal rechargeable battery AND a AAA battery at the same time. The controls are not ideal but work well enough. A little complicated to remember which button sequence does what but I guess it’s easy enough to keep pressing buttons until you get what you want. Also there doesn’t seem to be a lock setting to keep the lights off while in a pack or bag.I like the size, the battery options and the light the unit provides.
