Material and comfort is good but can be bit cheaper.
Bought this for my work as I work in construction. Like the comfort and material. Fitting wise little bit uncomfortable for me (I usually wear UnderArmor work pants), but I would say little bit costly.

My son’s favorite pants
My son loves these pants. Once my teenage son started wearing these, he stopped wanting to wear any other pants, and let me tell you he has a lot of other really nice pants. He said no other pants are as comfortable. My son is thin and tall, and the 36” inseam is great!

Extremely comfortable and cool for those in-between seasons
I've had numerous pairs of Columbia's previous version of these lightweight cargo pants (which were old and wearing out). For some reason, I could not find these Columbia pants for several years - everything was "convertible" with zippers to remove the lower legs. I hate those as I find them very uncomfortable when seated. Anyway, after corresponding with Columbia customer support, I was finally guided to these and I'm a happy camper again! Did I mention I love these pants?

These are NOT the Silver Ridge of a couple years ago
The Columbia Silver Ridge have been my go-to trekking pants for years. Light, tough, and easy to keep clean, even on the trail.The last order, though, was not what I used to get. The pants are still light and easy to clean, but they are NOT TOUGH. The thread is flimsy and snaps easily under pressure. The material seems to have changed, too. It's just not as durable and seemed to snag very easily.All said, they're fine for a suburban weekend, but I'll be searching for another pant for trekking.Too bad.
