Well balanced
Very good chuck for the price. I like getting all the different sizes of jaws that came with the chuck for the price I paid where other chucks would cost more without the additional jaws. Great buy!

Great for the Harbor Freight wood lathe
I got this to make it easier for doing magic wands and bowls on my Harbor Freight mini-lathe. It has made making wands much easier for my son, and has allowed me to try making a few bowls and goblets with no issues. I've only used it for two weeks, 5 different projects, but it seems to be a great value, and it comes with everything you need to do small turnings as well as turning bowls.

Gearing mechanism works for the chuck, but the wrench slips when trying to tighten, so be careful!
Bought this chuck to be a smaller set up than my 4" chuck. It holds pieces well, but the wrench slips when you try to tighten it, so lifespan is questionable at this point. Buy a comet, and you wont have this cheap made issue.

Decent chuck
I bought this for dedicated jaw set up. Chuck does a decent job, but is not very smooth. It also operates in reverse to my main chuck, which keeps my brain active. If I had to do over, I would spend a little more and duplicate my existing chuck.
