Pearl Mantels499-60-27 Hadley Mantel Shelf, 60-Inch, Cottage Distressed

Ordered the wrong size. Was able to return for the correct size. Highly recommend this mantel!

I ordered the 60 in natural Acacia. The mantel is BEAUTIFUL and exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, Amazon's packaging and shipping wasn't and I ended up with the mantle in a flimsy box that had a hole in it, just big enough for the hanger bar and instructions to fall out. When I called Amazon customer service they said they couldn't replace the item because it was no longer in stock but suggested I call Pearl Mantels directly to see if they could assist. I did and they were amazing. They shipped me the missing hanger bar and instructions, no questions asked. I'm so often disappointed by customer service so I feel like they deserve a shout out for being awesome.

Quality mantel, very well made, however, it did NOT stain well at all. I’ve had to use a couple different stains to get it to look ok. Wood was very splotchy. I’ve had this same mantel before but one that I as already finished. Wish I would have gotten the same one again!

The mounting bracket is a piece of wood that the mantel rests on. The bracket I received was bowed/defective. We straightened it out as best as we could for installation. There is no mounting hardware. The mantel is bulky and doesn’t sit flush with the wall in the back. I don’t feel like the mounting bracket is sufficient enough to support it, even though we screwed it into studs. Unfortunately, I can’t ship it back because we already threw the box away.

Was worried when I purchased what it was going to be like. So glad I did. It was a quick and inexpensive way to dress up the area. Works great for the holidays too. I was worried my colors wouldn't match but it blended in just fine with everything else. Really liked the option on how you want to hang.

Love the color, but it's not very stable, you can lift it up a little after install.

I love the way this mantel looks. It works perfectly with the stone.Be aware that this mantel has to be attached to the wall behind the stone with some extra wood if used upon a new stone fireplace.

The mantel in the picture shows to be a grey color but it’s more tan with grey hues. Still beautiful and pleased but not what I was expecting. Very happy with how easy the installation was! Pretty durable and sturdy although I wouldn’t put more than 25lbs on my mantel. Would recommend to anyone looking for similar product!

Not only does the mantel go really well with the limestone fireplace, but it was very easy to install.
