As good as the original
If you want to change your hardware on your old garage door this is the kit that you need to buy, especially if you have an 8’ high door. It has all the appropriate hinges which are numbered the same as my 40 year old door. Quality is identical and the rollers glide smoothly and silently.

Great quality and value
I ended up changing the rollers and all the hinges (except for the very bottom right and left due to these are connected to the big spring so a lot of tension so only changed out the rollers). It saved me about $200 from the quotes I was receiving to have a company change them out. Prior the garage door was very loud and clunky sounding afterwards it was much quieter and sounded very smooth. Great product great value.

Worked well except . . . . .
Installed the hinge and wheel kit with no problems. The parts were a direct replacement for the existing parts, except for the both top corner adjustable wheel bracket. These brackets are not hinges, just an adjustable wheel support. Those in the kit seemed less robust and the holes did not line up with the old ones. I opted to leave my old brackets installed and just replaced the wheels. Finally, I did not replace the cables as they had recently been replaced. And, replacing the lower corner wheels is tricky as you have to lower the door, lock it in place and loosen and shift the track out of the way. Do one side at a time. The door runs more smoothly and is much less noisy. My old wheels had wore to the point that the axles were hitting the track at the corners and making noise. This update eliminated that problem.

Great kit but...
This kit fit perfectly on my 7x16. Not sure what brand my garage door is and it still worked great. The door opens much quieter and smoother since the installation. The 1 issue is the cable is NOT for extension cable doors. It's only for torsion spring doors and no where in the description does it say anything about that. It just say for a 7 ft door. The cable length is quite a bit different for the torsion spring compared to the extension spring cable. It's much too short so the cable in this kit is useless. At least for the garage door. Wish I had known so buyer beware.

Great upgrade
My single door spring broke so decided to upgrade everything at the same time. I have a 40 year old 7’x10’ five panel wood door. So I needed 1-4 roller hinges, purchased 8’ kit. I purchased the cable brackets and cables separately as well as bearings, springs and latest rollers. The kit is great. Heavy duty hinges that are wider so you can fasten more in different locations. I inverted #1 hinges to better line up on my door using two of the existing screw locations. I didn’t use any screws in the kit as they are not for wood. I didn’t use the top adjustable roller bracket as my existing was superior in design.I should’ve used the rollers in the kit as they are high quality but I chose to go higher. Kit doesn’t come with the lower cable bracket so I purchased an upgrade one. Didn’t use the cables because they are for an 8’ door but would probably be ok . All in all a great kit with heavy gauge hinges equal to my old ones in metal thickness but better designed for an upgrade. Great project and recommend this kit.

Additional info for first timers (like me)
This is a great value for wide, 14 gauge hinges and sealed roller bearings. Often with kits of any kind, one or more of the items are of lower quality. Not here. The only thing I wished (but not a lot) was if the hinges were galvanized. But I live in hot, dry, low humidity Phoenix so....Of course, replace the hinges and top brackets, one at a time. For the top brackets you need to adjust the position of the tube the roller goes thru. Those bolts are NOT just to attach the tube to the bracket, they allow the tube to be positioned in a way to keep the roller from binding with the rails it rides in. Leave those bolts loose while installing the bracket then tighten them with the roller centered in the rail. The #2 and #3 hinges are not symmetrical and it's easy to see which end is up. But the #1s are symmetrical and could be installed with either end pointing up. One end has a hole for the outermost screw and the other has a vertical slot for the outermost screw. The #2 and #3 hinges had the hole on the bottom, so I installed the #1s that way in case there is some reason for the screws thru holes to be on the bottom.Curiously, all my old hinges had the number stamped into the hinge and so did the hinges in this kit. BUT the #1 hinges in this kit were the only hinges that had the number stamped upside down when installed. Makes me wonder if the great price for this kit could be partially because of that manufacturing mistake. Before starting to install this kit, I inspected the old hinges and was surprised to find that the rails the rollers ride in were not very well aligned resulting in some rollers binding. You can tell by trying to turn or wiggle the shafts of the existing rollers. So, after installing the new hinges and rollers, I loosened the screws that hold the rails on each side of any binding rollers and pulled/pushed the rail slightly until I could wiggle and spin the other end of the roller shaft. Then I retightened the screws for the rails. That definitely will extend the life of the rollers and let the door open and close more smoothly.Replacing the roller in the existing bottom plate can be very dangerous. A cable from the springs over the door attaches to that plate and the plate needs to be removed before you can install the new roller. If you remove the plate without relieving all tension on the spring, it can become a missile and one that can not be replaced without removing tension on the spring. You need special tools to unwind the springs safely and you need to know how to set the tension correctly when done. When researching the tools, I discovered that after releasing the tension, it was not that much bigger a job to replace them. Plus springs typically come with the tools to wind/unwind them. For that reason, I am holding off installing the two bottom plate rollers until I replace the springs in a week or two.

So far so good!
Installed this on one of my garage doors and it actually made my door operation quite a bit tighter... which is fine because that means my old hardware was worn out. After making a few adjustments to the garage door frame, everything is working fine and smooth. I will add that adding a little bit of a synthetic grease to the roller pins sure did make thigs smoother and quieter.I am planning on buying another set for my other door.
