Love the hat, yes it's a little big, but the company sent sizer strips with the hat and it now fits perfect.

I wear some kind of hat almost every day to protect my hairless noggin from the oppressive southern US heat, and this hat does a very good job of it! Most Optimo crown Panama hats, being made from a fine weave of straw, are out of my price range, but this one really does the trick. It's comfortable and affordable. While I don't "punish" my hats. they do see a lot of wear, and this one looks to hold up very well. As I stated earlier, the heat and humidity where I live is quite often brutal, so wearing the right hat is important. It provides good protection while remaining cool enough that your head doesn't feel like it's about to catch fire and explode. Plus, the look of an Optimo crown is distinct and very different from the average fedora or Trilby, which are so prevalent these days, so it definitely stands out in a crowd.If you're looking for an inexpensive, quality Panama/summer hat with a dash of out-of-the-ordinary flair, this one will suit you quite nicely.

I'm not pleased by this hat. The ad does mention that the hat is coated with teflon but not that the coatng makes the hat feel.stiffer, thicker and heavier than a normal Panama hat.
